Sonic 25th Party 2016 - San Diego

Stream seems to be going up and down right now. Let's just hope they are getting the issues out of the way now instead of being a reoccurring thing.

Well, the YouTube description is, "Join us as we reveal the future of Sonic at long last!" so unless Aaron's trolling as usual I see...

 

Nearly 15 after and it hasn't started... not a good start to the festivities. >.>

 

I already documented this moment of waiting. The comments-section over at YouTube and Twitch are going crazy and together with the lagging and failing streams this is already a waiting game as I've truly imagined it.

UPDATE: A nice comment by one of the viewers; "Being the company who's mascot point is to go fast would make you expect that... you know... Go fast."

 

The entire event officially opened just twenty-two minutes ago, and they've got to actually get all the guests inside before anything starts. Give them time.

 

Eh, just like in Brawl, Sonic will show up late and still save the entire multiverse. I'm not too concerned.

EDIT 3:32am: About a minute ago they started showing us the stage, but the sound contains a nasty buzz throughout.

 

That's a very American way of thinking. The event was scheduled for 6:00 PM. One would expect the event to begin at 6:00 PM. If the stream was actually supposed to start at 6:30, or 7:00, they should have announced it as such. This reeks of poor planning.

The lag and stream drops are very disappointing, as well.

Edit: well, at least the announcement will be early. I hate to see "??????" on the schedule, since I have to get up early and can't stay up until then, but since it's only five minutes, it can't be too big a deal.

 

The binary at the bottom of that flyer translates to, "pancakes".

A "dab" is a stupid dance move that is popular at the moment. I believe the word is also related to weed culture.

Looks like the whole thing is running late or there's a looooooong tape delay.

Also, either my tinnitus has gotten out of hand, or there's a ringing noise in the background.

Edit: Sonic's feet must be nailed to the floor.

 

My bad. All I saw was that the stream started at 9PM eastern and I assumed that's when it would actually begin to stream; not when the room itself opened up.

... I want to cuddle that dancing Sonic. O_O

As an aside, I'm not a fan of this type of act: two guys dance awkwardly around their MacBook while music plays.
