Please lock this thread. It's getting really annoying with all this e-drama. Who cares about writers that set themselves up to fail? (And then try to succeed with the little chance of success they have in their career)

Ken should get another job since writing isn't his strongest points. Not really the sharpest tool in the shed, but in a way, that's his bread and butter.

It's boring. If it's some super-secret lost track of Sonic 3 or Sonic 2, then heck yeah. If it's some super-secret picture of Yuji Naaka wearing a bra and g-string with lipstick doing a seducing pose hidden in Sonic and Knuckles at Hidden Palace Zone where the picture of Super Sonic and Mechanic Eggman picture is where you have to get all chaos emeralds, all super emeralds, play the 'Get Blue Balls' game 100 times, then press Up Up Down Left Right A+Start in Hidden Palace Zone, yeah, but this... This, is insignificent and useless. Please give me a break.

And bashing people like him trying to make some doe through legitimate means even though he's doing it while he knows he has no foot is just low. Yes I'm low.

Ignoring him is good for Sega and Archie, and the first step is locking this cursed thread.

Seriously though, whose his meth dealer? because I would love to have the stuff hes on.

 

And of course, when someone asked about the other writers, he handwaved their contributions as well, saying Gallagher had stepped away from the book for a bit (ignoring his other contributions up to that point, including both Mecha Madness and the Death Egg miniseries in the year leading up to Endgame, and that Gallagher had even written part of Endgame itself), and that Angelo DeCesare "thought he was writing furry versions of Archie characters." (Which apparently means what he did was null?) He also completely ignored the rest of the writing team at the time, such as Kent Taylor and Karl Bollers, but he did make sure to bring up Kanterovich, who had left the book a year before Endgame, as far as I'm aware. (The last issue I remember him doing was #38, less recent than DeCesare and Gallagher's pre-Endgame stuff) That's also even aside from not bringing up the contributions of the art team, as well, who played a pretty major role in the book's success.

Reactions aside, if those statements about sales are true, surely it's more the the popularity of the franchise as a whole and the lack of sales at Walmart that are to blame? The fact that he only credits himself for any success that the comic of a massively popular video game character has had just shows how much he likes to stroke his own dick.

Lets face it, the franchise has been going down in popularity a LOT in the past 15 years or so. + - (And personally, I like how things have been going for the most part since 2010.)   The games aren't seen in the same light as they used to be + - because most of the public is stuck in 2009.   Also, people who grew up with the comic, well... grew up. And when there aren't as many new kids coming in to replace the old ones, sales go down no matter what. Walmart dropping them couldn't have helped either.

But of course, Ken doesn't see it this way because he thinks he's the hottest shit in the world.

 

My, that's some Messiah complex. He needs knocking down a peg or eighty-two.

 

We can band together, make a short Sonic comic series that pretty much hits every mark he has, and when he complains about it, just flatly state that we ripped off Sega, not him.

I have never seen someone as egotistical as this man is, and it's saddening, to be honest. He cannot come to terms with the fact that his ideas are utter trash, and that nobody cares about him. Yet he goes "Hey everybody! look at me! Look at the amazing ideas that I have that are way better then everyone else. I am the best, and the rest of you don't understand that and are shit". Dude. Give up already. You're that stain on the kitchen floor that is barely there, but is noticeable, and not in a good way. STAAP. Really. Trying to make yourself feel like the best there is, when you yourself, know you are not, is a testament to your character. A horrible one. It's disgusting and disgraceful, to yourself, the Sonic series, and the comic industry as a whole.

 

I think the worst of it today was when someone mentioned Angelo DeCesare started the Bunnie/Antoine romance instead of Ken, and Ken essentially responded saying that story wasn't important for the romance because some fans still hated Antoine.

Going for someone based on their race instead of choosing the best person for the job. Clearly a good idea. I could understand it if she was outright described as being black in the book, but I'm pretty sure she isn't.

 

Well this is the same guy who wanted to make Rotor gay. He just likes adding unimportant features to seem so cool and deep, but it's a cartoon walrus. I don't really care what he feels like poking

 

This whole saga just gets better and better. I think it should continue, purely for the lulz.
