Of course not, you should apply the percentage like I said later on my post. (Probably about 8-10% of overall buyers did the time trial like for Generations) That'd end you up with about 65k or so.

Let's do crappy guesstimating a bit more accurately. :specialed:

Not to mention that % is probably very generous since those online rankings didn't work half the time on PC, people didn't give a shit about the leaderboards because they were hacked to hell, and you couldn't easily enter them from the regular game either. But let's counter that with the fact that more people probably have offline Wii Us I guess.

I recently finished the game... Now I'm for the chaos emeralds.. Is there a topic to share Miiverse or WiiU users? (mine is NioZero if someone interested in add me)

    My impressions so far...

    The positives things
    • In general, I enjoyed the game, very nice graphics and beautiful 60fps.
    • The gameplay in general is good, easily to control and simple.
    • There is a lot of mario influence in my opinion, not only for the galaxy-like levels, but for other minors things.
    • I liked the levels with "segments", and one checkpoint for segment, I never actually liked in the classic genesis games the amount of starpost in each level. Too many in my opinion.
    • The history is nice, not bad, but neither the best.
    • The 'parkour' is an interesting element, however I wouldn't call it "parkour" because it hasn't a lot of parkour in my opinion. It should be only called "wall-running" or whatever

    The negative things..
    • I miss the short jump, or walk-jump from unleashed/colors/generations... but the kick and multiple homming attack are nice
    • The bosses are very easy in general
    • I don't know why there isn't an option to disable the "wing item" that makes you skip the segment of the level, and in some case is very near you that is actually easy to touch it by accident
    • The wisps are shit, they don't add anything to the game, especially the cosmic and the rhythm wisp..
    • I don't know the meaning of wisping items.. it looks unnecessary
    • Missing an option to see the cinematic again, like the previous games.

This weekend I will try the 3DS version...

And here I was yesterday, playing Generations and thinking "What the hell were they thinking when they thought that adding a non-rolling jump for Sonic would be a good idea?".

From what I've read so far, it seems to me like one of the very few things they've actually improved, compared to the previous games...

I liked the walking jump because it was precise and you didn't activate it by accident but even if it was a small roll I wouldn't mind.

Classic Sonic jump in contrast felt rough because of that (and the fact the engine behaves badly in slow speeds).

To be fair, WWE 2K14 is a pretty awesome game. I wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise, but Kalin went in half with me on Lost World, so I just bought 'em both at once.

I don't know, guys. There's no pull in this game. A week after Generations, I'd beaten it one sitting, finished all the challenges, and was beginning to figure out fast paths through the levels. With Lost World, I've picking it up every few days, playing a few levels, and getting bored.

I killed the whole thing in the span of a day (about four to five hours total in two sittings) but still have no desire to go back to it. Like, I still have Hidden World 4 to unlock, or collecting the red rings to get Super Sonic, but there's really no point. Colors at least had the Eggman Shuttle while there was something about Generations, even lacking a Shuttle-type mode, that just makes it nice to go back to every so often.

Here, who cares? You unlock Super Sonic, but it's so trivialized it doesn't matter. The more I think about it, the more I think I went really easy on the game. It's just so... blah.

Seriously though, I regret spending €50 on this game. Wait until it's half off at least.

You want animals? Well then apparently Hidden World 1 is primo for animal farming. If you have patience you can get like 20k animals in about 20 minutes.

I didn't even know there was a Knuckles and Tails omochao. Also the completist in me kind of wants to do this (for the record I'm about 8 S ranks away from 100%ing the normal game, but I still want to do those Omochao missions as they're kind of achievement-y and it just wouldn't be a Sonic game for me if I didn't beat the hell out of it)

Oh god, the 3DS version has extra stages for getting the red rings in a world?

I was thinking about this myself yesterday, I wonder how pissed Nintendo is that their relatively importantish exclusive is half-baked.

I mean it's pretty much Colors 2 with some Mario and extra bs in there. At the very least it's much better than most of the Nintendo exclusive Sonic games, besides Colors the Nintendo Console Sonic's have always been worse than the PS360 ones (Exception of course being Sonic 06, but nothing is that bad.) Unleashed 360 is better than Unleashed Wii and the Storybook games and Generations is better than Colors.

Plus I bet Sega's kind of mad that the game's not selling as well due to how few Wii U's have been sold. I mean the game in all likely hood was being developed before the Wii U came out, how was Sega to know the thing wasn't going to sell? It's a double edge sword that probably left a bitter taste in both of their mouths.

While the Wii U selling bad has an impact on Lost World selling bad, I think the reception also helps. Black Knight sold awful and was quite awful but Colours sold a lot, more than Generations in the end, and we know his reception was mostly positive. Lost World would probably sell bad on every platform, really (if Lost World sells bad in the end Sega will also get the message better, they are a business after all). Hell, Sega even said ASRT sold the most on Wii U and it was at launch.

I don't know how much they are (or if they are) losing with Lost World, but I don't think it's that much: the agreement between Sega and Nintendo when they announced Lost World also said Nintendo was going to publish all 3 exclusive Sonic games on their own, so Sega isn't spending anything on the actual production of game cards/discs or sending it to retailers, and Sonic will get free advertisement by being in Smash 4, which even if the Wii U died today will still have no problem in selling millions and millions since it is on 3DS (it may probably sell more than all 3 exclusive sonic games combined considering Melee 7 millions).

I played the demo at a Gamestop just today. It wasn't too bad, but it took me a while to figure out what button the Homing Attack was. Other than that, I think Sonic controlled relatively well. It felt strangely satisfying navigating Sonic through those crumbling pathways. I have not much else to say since it was just the first level. The only thing that felt off was Sonic's control in midair. It was practically like Sonic Advance 3's midair control, but in 3D. I think that's all that needs work, honestly.

The problems don't show up in Windy Hill 1, they were smart enough to design that level to make the game look fun.

Shame they failed at the rest. Anyway, I gave the 6 it deserved on Metacritic, lol.
