The 11th SonicLondon meet has been announced. And this time we have activities! Please check out the event's e-poster here : A further few points about the event : We will announce whether the meet will be held in the Plan A or Plan B venue in the days leading up to the meet depending on the weather forecast, as we have done in the past. If we go with Plan A, the picnic in Regent's Park, guests are encouraged to bring along picnic blankets, picnic foods (obviously), suncream and water! I guess there will be less to bring if we go for the Plan B option, but do make sure you bring enough food (you are allowed to eat your own food inside the Royal Festival Hall thankfully) and, I guess, an umbrella? Here's a lowdown of our events (which will take place regardless of venue) ~ Art Corner : The voice actor and artist Andrew Hamblin, a SonicLondon regular, has kindly agreed to host our Art Corner for us. Go over and join him, grab a pencil and some paper (provided) and get sketching! ~ Blackjack : At some point during the meet Cyburn (a member of SonicLondon staff) will be hosting a game of Blackjack, and the eventual winner will recieve a prize. Time and prize to be confirmed on the day. ~ 3DS/Vita Corner : Our friends from Monster Hunter Community UK have kindly agreed to host our handheld corner. They'll be happy to play the likes of MK7/Mario Tennis/Luigi's Mansion 2 with attendees. And would, ofcourse, be most up for a sneaky Monster Hunt with those of you that way inclined /> For more details and to RSVP please see : https://www.facebook.com/events/585438461479599/
RSVP for an event that happened two days ago, according to the flyer? EDIT: Wait, no, A) that's European style, so September 7th, and B) even if it wasn't, that'd have been a lot longer than two days ago. Derp.
Unless you're reading it from a UK perspective, which I'm guessing most of the folks who would be able to make it would be... (wouldn't the other interpretation be 9th July though? ) I'll actually bear that point in mind next time I design one of these though, because I wouldn't want to discourage or misinform people from, say, America on the offchance they might actually be able to make it. To clarify everyone : the event is on the 7th September
There's also going to be a Sonic Transformed (3DS) tournament, with e-shop vouchers as prizes (courtesy of Nintendo) ^^
I'll see if I can book it off work. Can't see it being a problem as my shifts should be covered, but I'll check when I'm in tomorrow.
Haven't been to one of your meets in ages Hel, and for that I apologise. I can try to make it this one - I won't promise anything as I've just started my new job and I have no idea how much money I'll be making this month but if it looks good, I should be about.
Hm, the link doesn't seem to take you anywhere other than to my event list page on Facebook (same for Jen). Either the link doesn't work or it's blocking us. I figure should the usual Retro UK crew decide to go to one of these events in the near future, we'd both be keen to go to it as well.
Orenge ; could you and Jen try RSVPing through this site instead please? https://soniclondon.eventbrite.co.uk You guys weren't blocked... But lately people have been putting forward many issues with the FB event system. Am seriously considering totally moving to Eventbrite... (seems a cleaner way to RSVP). We'll see though... This is our first time using it so its sort of an experiment Caniad Bach and Nova : awesome! Hope you can make it! Indeed I hope you can all make it!
Bah! I'm in work. I'd much rather be chilling with you guys than dealing with idiots all day, believe me.
Sorry I couldn't make it Helen, I forgot totally that I was spending a weekend of fishing and Formula 1 with my old man. Hope you all had fun though and I was secretly wishing I was in London all day.
