As always, it can be shut off in the options if you don't like it. Sonic 1 is completely done (By complete, I mean its playable. Still ironing out bugs). I'm focusing on Sonic 2 now. A bit harder than anticipated. The SC2 levels are around 50-60 percent complete. And there are a shit ton of unlockables....so get dem red rings. EDIT: Also, ignore labyrinth zone title card. Level slot mix up :p EDIT2: First 4 people who guess the music in the first 2 seconds gets their names in the casino level.
Glad to hear things are going well with development; SC1 was one of the best Sonic fangames I've ever played and from the looks of it SC2 is going to surpass it in every way. Keep up the great work Hez!

Karl does good work with the remixes. I think the video makes them look gold...and that one in particular is not near any other rings so you don't really see the difference I'm guessing. Or maybe I have trouble with yellow and red?
Quick question, are you planning on including the boss mode that was planned for S1PC before it became SC1? It would be cool to have an S1/S2 boss rush and a SC1/SC2 boss rush similar to S1 SAGE Edition and Robotnik's Revenge.
I planned on it being implemented. Probably making an option to play whichever sets of bosses you would like. Even though S3k isn't involved, I may just do the bosses for shits and giggles.
Looks pretty good so far, but I have a suggestion. Perhaps the player shouldn't fly back in pain as if he were hit when the Knuckles/Tails power expires. It might be somewhat irritating trying to get somewhere from gliding or flying and then you get knocked back in the opposite direction away from the ledge, whereas if you didn't get knocked back you'd make it on to wherever you were going.
It totally does that actually. Only when you're using their power at the time. If you're flying or gliding or climing, it acts as if you hit a badnik with a shield.

Crystal Cove Rustic Ruins Drill Base Dark Valley Liquid Lagoon Jupiter Jungle Glistening Glacier A few of those had me stroking my chin in wonder, but finally we end with something more obvious... Flying Fortress Space Chase NOOOOOOO!!!!! For fucks cunting sake, Hez, why?!?! It's been done to fucking death. It was annoying when both S4 episodes decided to end in space for no reason other than "just because"... but Classic 2 is something *gasp* I actually want to play. It still looks like an awesome game, and I love the hell out of those remixes... but this space shit is seriously fucking with my morale.
I like space levels honestly, but maybe mix it up and make space NOT the final level. Give Eggman a Casino Base.
Well, not to drop the ball, but the final level isn't in space. It crashes into the ocean, where you are in a submarine type base. I was saving it for a surprise :P EDIT: Also, since you've all been good. Very work in progress. I stole the shapes in the ground from somebody, but to hell if I remember who, since the picture that inspired me is like 4 years old. They may change.
I think I remember those tiles, but the color choice seems really bland for the level (maybe blue, colbalt, gold, silver.. purple?). That's the only thing I would change, everything else is gorgeous.
