Trying to get outta Dr. Dre mode, and actually release an album.
Yesterday, I was doing a Good Future run on Sonic CD using Kega (as I'm too poor to buy the Taxman port at the moment :P). Anyway, I started logging .avi files, mainly so I could show off my custom soundtrack on YouTube. After I logged all the files I needed, I tried to open them In WMM, but it kept rejecting them. I had this problem with Kega a while ago, and it forced me to use a crappy online media converter. Strangely, I did something similar with VisualBoy Advanced, and not only did it come out fine, but it also worked with WMM.

This time around, I managed to find a decent one that didn't screw up the visuals, but I could only convert one because of a 100 MB cap. All other options that I do have, I have to pay for. Can anyone give a suggestion on a good video converter or, if possible, fix the .avi files themselves?

    Trapped in my own thoughts.
Two stageplays, a screenplay, and an album
Doesn't Kega Fusion use its own homemade codec? As long as you install the codec in Windows, it should work with just about anything.

That being said, check out Virtualdub. It's probably a bit more powerful than what you're looking for, but it'll work. Or just use handbrake, it doesn't get any easier than that.

    *facepalm*

Well.... Now I feel like a total blockhead, but thanks for bringing that to my attention Covarr.

    being an asshole =P
Yeah, you need to install the custom codec. The idea is that the custom codec makes it much faster to record the gameplay without any loss by being made specifically for the emulated hardware (in fact, it's a lossless codec). You record using that then later you reencode it to whatever you want to use to share the video.

  6. FFmpeg also supports Kega Game Video if you want to go that route.

Thanks guys, but I already installed the codec before you replied here. I appreciate you trying to help though.

I don't think there's anything else I need to say so I'll just get this topic locked.
