Damn, you Europeans are some lucky motherfuckers. DX
I would gladly spend a lot for all of that. The only Sonic related merchandise I got is that Sonic hat from when I pre-ordered Colors.

Well then, paypal me (including shipping of course) and I'll get it for you, given that it's going to be sold in Italy.

  4. And the UK, so come on guys don't fret you'll get this one way or the other. I had the Jazwares 20th figurines before most americans did.

Why the fuck are we always ignored when it comes to special editions? does sega have some sort of hate towards us or is it that same "different segas do different things" bullshit line again?

Arg this is aggravating that SEGA keeps doing this!

Don't mind me, just running around, flipping tables.

Yeah, this is probably the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a long, long time. How is this in any way fair to non-Europeans? Are we Americans getting a collector's edition anywhere close to this?

To be fair, in most other mediums America is seriously spoilt rotten, as we in Europe typically recieve much less.

I'm glad we're getting a special edition, honestly; I'm screwed over sideways by most America-centric companies, so it's nice to have some semblance of exclusivity.

To be fair, we are getting those three Japanese Wii games every Nintendo fan wants as well.

Anyway, damn that collector's edition is nice. It should have some useful things for the wiki as well. Here's a much, much bigger version of the picture: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6078/6124133486_9d69321afa_o.jpg

I love how us Americans supposedly deserve this, especially since I barely give a crap about the majority of games that get region-exclusive collector's editions. Why can't both regions get this?

SOA and NOA are just teaming up now to stop you getting things, although it kidna makes sence, wasent Sonic rated much more popular in Europe than America sometime recently?

Guess if you want it, really want it, you'll suck it up and import it.

UK People are still pissed we got the jazwares figures first so this is pretty much a "nyah nyah payback!" thing. Its not right were getting shunned from this anniversary edition when we got one 10 years ago.

Can't, I'm a 360 owner I'm region locked. so I'd be buying 2 copies of the same game. fuck 360s region lock...

That Special Edition is freaking sweet, I hope and pray I get a job while its still on sale because I'll gladly preorder 2 of them (one for investment, other for showcasing), will look very nice next to my Jap. 10th Anniversary Special Edition. Boo on Europe only though, but meh, I can still import so come on job, I needs teh monay! :v:

Probably because of costs, and how the games usually sell better in Europe. There's been several Europe mainland only special editions (including Black Knight even), a Classic Collection special edition for Spain and Aus and most recently a Colour Special Edition for mainland Europe and Aus. It sucks for you guys, but it's probably the only thing SEGA can safely do. Absolutely not fair though. I'd be livid in your position right now. Fingers crossed for next time, eh?

    It's confirmed for the following:
    • France
    • FRG
    • Germany
    • Australia
    • Spain
    • UK
That's what's listed on the SEGA Press Site.

    ... Only in Europe...

Fuck. Why does America never get the Sonic stuff? No I don't want a Call of Duty special edition with special camo dildo and Limited edition Mountain Dew I want this thing damn it ><

EDIT: Australia is NOT Europe. If they get this I don't see why we shouldn't get it too

  17. How many more times does this video not need to be cited for any god damn evidence of argument! It simply shows us the history of Sonic and nothing more. The whole 'because they're lazy' element is quite personal though. This is a team working on it, not slaves rebelling against 'the man' and not doing up to 'par' amount of levels per era. If the fanbase were to be heard, we'd have Sega Monkeys slaving away recreating every level of Sonic and then slapping them when they've not made it just that little bit perfect.

Hahaha. Lighten the hell up. It'll be on the internet, available for import or what not. I mean heck, the SA2 Birthday Editions never sold outside of Japan and how many dedicated people have those? Quite a few.

If, similar to other European 'big bad boy' special editions is anything to go by (See Duke Nukem, COD, Fallout) These Generations Editions, if they don't sell well, Could very well be £30~40 next february. And on the subject of prices, I would probably expect about £60~80 for this Generations Special Edition. And to further salt the wounds of American fans planning on importing, I suggest you check out the finacial market and your $ -> £ Exchange rate. It's bad. VERY bad.

I wonder if they're doing anything special with the 3DS versions.

EDIT: Also to those in the US, You got all those 20th Anniversary figures. None of them are anywhere for retail in the UK.

What, you mean those figures with Sonic standing next to the monitor? Those aren't for sale here either, there's no way of getting them unless Sega likes you. Or are you referring to those cheesy Jazwares toys? I'd rather have this thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that both regions shouldn't have this. In fact, I'd prefer it. But between the Jazware toys scenario, and the treatment us Europeans recieve from many other companies who have central bases of operations in America, I can't help but feel like going "nyah nyah" regarding your getting shafted. ;)

  20. Ah right. Didn't realise they were the Jazware toys already mentioned. I'd probably echo your response in this case. Regardless Jazwares aren't that bad, I can't seem to find the TRU Sonic 10" figure for less than £30 on eBay!

EDIT: To stick to the topic and not post Merch-related outside the Merch topic:

Gamestation have still got this 'Special Edition' for £35.
