Is it possible (without debug, mind you), to get up here?

I have no idea why they put this here, you can't get at it as far as I know... (I tried for 7 minutes straight.... shows you how much time I have...)

If the image doesn't show up... In S1, Marble Zone 1, if you keep going right, over the things floating in the lava, you'll eventually hit a wall. There is grass ontop of the wall. It goes nowhere, but I want to get up there, just to be able to say I did. And if it's impossible... then why is it there?

  2. I always asked myself that too.

I tried many times to do all that seemed possible to get there, but never did, so I believe it's there for no other reason than to give that area some landscape...

    OR (beware, theory ahead)

It's some point for the old ufo's to land and take over the whole place without sonic bother them!

You can get in there by bouncing from that monitor.

Stand on the top of the slope next to the last buring platform, run down the slope while spinning, jump while spinning at high speed and hold the jump button when bouncing of the monitor and you will get to that area.

That won't work, just jump from the top of the slope...

Oh, so that's why I'm failing.

Yea, he will use the Y speed to bounch, and not the X speed like I said. So a jump from a high place will do it I guess.

    Yeah. I feel complete now...

  9. This may sound stupid, but I didn't know about holding the jump button bounces you off the monitor like that, does this work in other game's or just in sonic 1?

It works in all Sonic games (even the advance games). I didn't know you could do this either till it was a necesary trick to get one f the emeralds in LOst and Fiz's Emerald Power hack

  11. Ok, now I did it too...

lostgame please find us some new place to reach or I'm gonna get bored :P

Well... that works in many other platform games, not necessarily SEGA's.

I would like to point out, though anyone who has done debug already knows this. This may be one reason why Knuckles was not allowed in Sonic 1 (probably also due to a glitch in the system is the first reason). You see, after the ledge, you got all the way to the top, there is a gap above it, so if Knuckles was allowed to be playable in the game, he would have a shortcut. Just climb up those two walls and glide until you get to the goal, thus negating the long underground Sonic route. If anyone wants me to provide a screenshot, I would try to do so... but all of my images are larger than 50 KB, the .bmp, the .jpg, the .gif, and the .png.

If you have the rom, which I betting majority of the people here do, just press Up, C, Down, C, Left, C, Right (a ring will chime as usual to confirm you did it), hold A and press Start, continue to hold A until Sonic appears. Pressing B will toggle debug on/off, etc. You'll have to go through Green Hill Zone, but in Marble Zone just travel over to that spot and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry I cannot be of more help or have more information than that.
