I can see this being awesome DLC, but not in the game at the start.

Anyone else notice the badnik recycling?

Perhaps the badniks in Colors could be hints to what levels we can expect in Generations. We got Motobug, Crabmeat, Chopper, Buzzer (and Buzz Bombers too I think), Sandworm, and Spiny.

    Chemical Plant Zone anyone? :)

    (Not counting Colors DS)

  3. Is anyone else noticing the tiny burst in speed Sonic-Cola Classic gets whenever he goes from normal run to full-speed run?

    I don't know what kind of math you're using, but last I checked, 54 - 50 = 4, not 11.

On my butt in front of the computer. Where else?
I'm working on working up the willpower to work on learning how to make my own Sonic fangames. Not quite there yet.
Doesn't seem worth noticing. Do you expect them to create an entirely different set of badnik designs and motion data for the same three badniks that were brought back in the last game, even though every developer on the face of the planet recycles models, designs, and motion data whenever they can do so without looking cheap about it? Or were you just casually pointing it out?

While Sonic Team was working on Sonic Colors they were also working on Generations. You can probably expect Generations to share some more things from Colors.

I think Colors used Generation's badnik designs/models, not the other way around

That really doesn't have any impact on the point, although you might be right.

True. And don't forget that there's a new design for the Grabbers from Chemical Plant, and they didn't appear in Colours. I think we can expect them to appear in Generations. The only think I dislike about this game using the Colours designs is that the Crabmeats shoot rockets.

    Internet.
Between mentions of Shinobi, the GBA, Megaman Legends, OOT, and a big ass classic Sonic on the cover, this issue makes me feel straight outta the nineties.

...Aside from the part where Sonic would -never- be on the cover of an issue of NP in the nineties.

Wonder if it's a different version of the game, or the same one?

If Sega can get Hedgehog Engine running on 3DS, they can license that for some decent cash; that's still a market that lacks really good high-end 3D middleware.

This also makes the PC version look even more likely! Really hoping Sega makes an actual effort on that version.

...if I had a TARDIS I would print that cover off and drop copies on every elementary schoolyard in the continental US.

Shinobi? Wow, now just bring back Streets of Rage SEGA and I will be very happy. I love how retro that cover looks.

I love how aside from how high-quality the renders are, the issues do look like 90's magazines.

If only they revived Nintendo Power's old logo to complete the mind-fuckery.

  16. thats fuckin hot.

  17. <3 that cover. Thank you Sonic Generations for allowing Sonic to have at least one more badass magazine cover.

Finally, the 3DS has a game that isn't a shitty remake or a port of an older game. + - Or a game in danger of being cancelled

Hope it's like its big console brothers and not like what Colors got for the DS.

Runnin' in the nineties... it's a new way I like to be...

Well, if I needed a reason to buy a 3DS, it's this. I need to find that magazine.

  20. NeoGaf is blocked at work for me. Did anyone there discuss the article, to see if there's any new info? I doubt it, but you never know if a shot of Flying Battery Zone is in there for some bizarre reason.
