I'll just say that if SEGA want to connect back with the greater pop culture, I think they should do a team-up with another has-been, Right Said Fred.

Only then will this be worth it, with a Crush 40 remix of Wonderman.

    ...

I don't think many people outside the UK know they were related to Sonic... I only knew about that because of a small blurb in an old magazine, but that was all about it.

That certain news site we all love is reporting some breaking nooz in a bulletin thing right now. Apparently some Spanish magazine will be showing off the first screen shots of Sonic on the 3DS. I have no idea if it'll be true or not; but if so, it's more than likely Sonic Anniversary related. Will keep an eye open if anything crops up.

We are looking for the confirmation in Spain, if there are any scans I'll be relaying them here.

Have been confirmed that it's a FALSE ALARM. It seems that the guy that made the comment went confused with a Sonic 3DS description that was written in an earlier issue of Nintendo Acción. Or simply lied.

And if you want to ask, nothing of interest was written in that issue, except for the affirmation that the game will take a better advantage of the 3D technology compared to another publisher games. I don't know if Sega is capable of that though.

I'm holding hope alive for some sort of announcement at GDC. It's the only trade show until E3, and the best time to show a 3DS title, since that's Nintendo's push right now.

I think that we'll have to wait until E3, this is a TOO big product for Sega.

Sega will be porting Sonic 1 to our IMAGINATIONS.
    This is break-through technology.

This is truly the next generation as you would have imagined.

It would also be the only "platform" left for Sega to port that game.

    You are forgetting this.

  13. I dunno about you guys, but 20 years down the road I can practically play that version. I bet plenty of you can as well.

  14. I was playing Sonic in my imagination since I was 5. Just ask my mom about the head injuries I got from rolling down the hill.

Beyond words. Think of the market potential in potty training children. Make peeing fun! It can be an attachment to those v-tech edutainment video games.

More details on that false story of Sonic Anniversary 3DS being featured in the Spanish Nintendo Magazine:

Source: The site we do not speak of.

Honestly guys after reading that I'm starting to doubt Sonic Paradise's "exclusive" of Anniversary being retro Sonic levels remastered in 3D. It's an alluring prospect that I had hoped was true but what is the most logical scenario? That a random and obscure Sonic site somehow got a Sega rep to reveal something so substantial to them and only them or that the site fabricated the story for hits?

Given that no other site has confirmed their story since October I therefore doubt their claims and feel we're in the dark on this one. Sonic Anniversary is undoubtedly real (we have enough news to indicate so) but that is the only real detail we have. The game could turn out to be anything. I wish Sega would speed up with those announcements. I'm guessing E3 at this point.

I'm a little bit surprised nothing substantial has been leaked yet. Though that has to be good, Sega must be really adament about revealing this in their own time rather than it leaking all over the place. The ball is in their court not to screw it up!

I don't know whether to be glad they haven't shown a new game because it could mean they're not rushing and want to make sure it looks excellent when they present it, or be worried that development is slow and SEGA's inevitable rush to get it out the door will make it worse.
