Fairly impressive update, Esrael. :( I like how you've decided to include Master System support, since that's not something many other editors have (I'm glad to see I'm not the only one interested in supporting the non-Genesis games), and I also like how the new "import" feature works.

Although for some reason, I can't seem to find the Tile Editor, even when I load Sonic 2. What's happening?

    It's pretty good.

There a a couple bugs fixs that you might want to put in miscellaneous.

    Bug 1

    Mirror Crawlton Bug

The pic is from my hack, but this happens in Sonic 2 too. The only reason I'm showing a pic from Lost Paradise is because it's a lot find this bug.

    Bug 2

For some reason the game locks up when you kill them the right way. It's a very hard bug to make it happen when want it to happen. Just doing the bug can take a few minutes. The quickest way to activate the bug. Is make Sonic go super and just try to kill them. Like in the pic.

But that's using debug mode so it doesn't really count does it?

On a separate note, I hit the Level Editor but can't figure how to edit the actual tiles. I have a freshly migrated unedited Sonic 2 loaded but can't find the tile editor anywhere.

I've found both of them without out debug. I just them this way because I can move around faster.

Oh. I though you used debug to place a bunch of that enemy around the area first. Guess not.

The Tile Editor form? is loaded behind/at the same time as the Level Editor form?, when you select the latter option from the menu.

You may want to update the SSRG URL in your "About" window. SSRG is now http://ssrg.shadowsoft-games.com/.
I also have no real bugs that I have noticed that haven't been pointed out. There are no bugs in the actual program that I have noticed. Nice job, keep up the good work.

    Very good.

Esrael, I'll send some updated object defs for Sonic 1 soon. I just need to finish Marble Zone's objects.

I did mean ESE, but Hivebrains hack does also seem uber cool.

Okay I found it but how do I edit the tiles? It seems as though I can only view them there.

It's alsmost exactly the same as SonED. There is "select mode" and "draw mode".

Hm. I still prefer SonED. Fullscreen for one thing. And the fact that I'm used to it. And the fact that I can easily port graphics in SonED. And because the last time I used the level editor in ESE, it didn't seem to do a thing. :P

I've got the concept but how to I switch the modes? Normally I'd've (wow, nice contraction ) figured it out by now but I can't find anything relating to the tile editor other than the window. Is there some documented list of controls I'm missing or something?

The tile editor is really good. It's exactly the same as SonED's, only not as slow. As soon as ESE does tile editing for S1/3/K, SonED will be more-or-less obsolete.

Does ESE erase data added to the end of the ROM (after expanded level data), like old versions of SonED did? And I'd like to be able to get rid of the tile editor, so that the level editor runs more quickly.
