    If you really wanted to take the piss out of dimps, what you have to do is make the normal spin jump not hurt enemies, add the homing attack, and make the game play itself more. That's the real key, its the game has to play itself. Changing the level design wouldn't hurt too much either. I could help you with that if you want.

    You'll also want long endless pits with homing attack chains.

    Also, after a loop you need to run straight down into a spring.

    But the Dimps games have always had a functioning spin jump- it's '06 that doesn't. I think what you could do is replace all the enemies with Egg Pawns that stand there and look dumb though.

    You guys are having much too fun, but in other news, you MUST INCREASE THE BOOSTER SPEED. Also, add one on Sonic's starting position for maximum do nothingness.

    If you want to make it more like the Rush games as opposed to StH4, add a boost ability and make the enemy placement absolutely terrible where you frequently need to boost like crazy or get hurt. >_>

    Also, make it so the twirling-feet animation doesn't appear until Sonic reaches his highest-possible speed, and whenever Sonic rolls up an embankment, force him into the running position (that part might be too complex). I like what I've seen so far, though; the boss theme made me laugh. Oh, and change the extra continue sound to the 1-up theme!

    When you're done, you can show it to Dimps and tell them "This is what you thought Sonic 2 looked like." :v:

    I just thought of something: Chemical Plant's gonna be speed booster hell, isn't it? XD (600th POST!)

    I'm not good at programming. I've tried a few things and they haven't worked right. There are also no continues in this game, but I can't get it to add a 1UP correctly.

    I'll also try to implement the S4 Bubbles considering how piss easy it looks like (until you try to program it when it doesn't work). However, the homing attack will not be appearing in any form.

    22. FURTHER NOTES  : What musics I've bothered to change rely entirely on the PSG. This is to simulate shitty non-existant sound hardware on old computers and such.
    23. I've changed 99% of the level art (barring a few 8x8s in GHZ that seem to continually elude my grasp and the BG art in a couple of levels.)
    24. Objects on the other hand, haven't really been touched yet. That's something for me to do before I hit V1.0
    25. Additionally, the final boss looks really, really dumb. It was late, I was tired, etc. That also will be corrected in V1.0

    I liked this; made me chuckle. Can't wait to see this hack when it's entirely blockified. If you thought Newtrons were a pain to dodge before, wait 'til they're nothing but plain blue rectangles!

    I think Sonic 2 XL has a higher priority over S2Dimps. Looks like a few more new trophies will end up being made during the judging.
