I'd give him a shoulder seam. After all he is wearing what resembles spandex of some sort. Oh and longer feet to match the body. Looks good man.
I wasn't trying to say that he should look exactly like classic Robotnik, but should be in a sense based of off and to be used as a guide on how some features should look like. But seeing it in color, does make it look better. And since you must not have read my question above, what modeling program do you use, or would advise? There are tons out there and I'm not sure which one would be good enough.
He uses 3DS Max. It's a $3500 program, so I'm pretty sure you'll be pirating it. If you don't want to pirate something, use Blender, it's a great program but has the worst fucking GUI ever.
I had a feeling that he used 3DS max, I'll just pirate it when I get the chance. Until then, I'll mess around with blender and try to get a feel for it.
Good luck. :v: Here. These videos helped me out when I started, though I didn't get very far. The other day someone gave me a link to this, it's not well-known and it's capabilities aren't satisfactory for more than concepts or detailed parts of models but it's much easier than anything anyone else has come up with that's freeware. Not to mention, you can export your designs to Blender, so you can do all the artistic crap in this, and use Blender for the mechanical crap. If you can find a torrent of Easy Toy that works, that's also pretty easy.
Azu, it seems I'm picking up 3D fairly quickly so I think I'll be able to do some simple things within a month or so :v:
I've tried picking it up. I'm not very good, and I can't find an easy utility. :specialed: My crap would only be mock-up anyway. Sorry to bring this up again but have you got a list of level order so we can keep working on the story? :v:
Actually, Use XSI. It puts all other softwares to shame. Seriously, anybody can make a good model and other crap regardless of what softwares you used. I used 3DS Max, Maya, and XSI and yet I use Blender because it's fucking cheap. And yet I did just fucking fine regardless what softwares I've been using.
Some softwares are easier to pick up than others. Blender isn't exactly user-friendly to anyone who's a novice or something. You can't just pick it up and go without looking up 10 tutorials.
Guys, enough with the off-topicness and talking of 3D programs. It's not really necessary; as Jeztac's doing fine with what he has.
Yes and lets make with the giving us of the level order >=|. I don't know why its so hard to do that.
Well, they need to program the levels first, I guess. The one defining factor in which levels come after others is the difficulty curve, I think. The story just follows those levels. I just like to bring it up every occasion so it doesn't look like we aren't doing anything on purpose. :v: No pressure but even knowing what the next level is will help.
I'm pretty sure that the levels have all ready been decided on though, I mean why would the have been programmed first?
Would it be possible to get, like, a tech demo release to demonstrate how it plays? That's one of the more important aspects, in my opinion.
The model looks good but has no texture on his glasses. Why is that? Azu will probably release a tech demo when the game has something to demonstrate. From the videos, it looks like the game doesn't have enough content yet and most of the feedback can be accurately given from those videos.
