I honestly have never had a problem with the camera. It works fine for me, I see where I'm going, and it does what it needs to do. I also see next to no difference between most of them. It's kind of like !% and 2% milk...I see no difference.
if, and I'm just saying IF, I were to add an unlockable 1 act hidden level, what level would you guys like to see?
I second the idea about a space battle level. Or a Hidden Palace-esque level, where you have to complete it to become Super Sonic. Or, combine them. You have to complete a certain level as Super Sonic to get the ability to use him in normal levels.
I was honestly not expecting a space battle...thought those were hated. I was thinking more like bridge...jungle...HPZ or somethin like that. Genocide City? Something like that. If a space battle is what you guys would want...I suppose I could do it?
Man, do a level like this. And when I say like that, I mean a super hard boss battle taking place deep within the center of the earth, having the boss switch between different forms while everything whizzes by at breakneck speed. No guns or anything. =P
Ditto. Either that or maybe another original level, but incorporate Sonic CD time travel to complete it; I've always wished Sega would utilize the time-travel system again.
I thought Bridge Zone looked quite good when you did it before, plus it allows use of the music! The vertical act of Jungle Zone could also be good.

The battle against Seven Force in the mine level (Gunstar Heroes) is awesome. I'm not sure how you can implement what LordOfSquad said but if you are able to, I think it'd be insanely fun. I also think that a level like Doomsday Zone would be fun (Super Sonic vs Giant Robot) or perhaps something more static where Sonic isn't chasing the boss and instead is fighting him on some platform in space (Satellite? On the surface of the Death Egg? On the Moon? I don't know) would also be an idea. Keep up the good work Hez! Thank you for working on this.
I don't think it's the levels themselves that are hated by fans so much as the "You only get to play as Super Sonic in the final battle" aspect of them.
I was thinking Genocide City honestly. It was going to be one of those easter eggs you find randomly in a level that teleports you there. A fighting in space level may happen if you have all the emeralds.
