What would be awesome is some sort of replay feature for multiplayer matches or an online spectator mode for all versions.

im guesing from that bold statement that I wasnt the only one. I'm getting a real MMX feel about these DS-mixes better then those slowed down normal mixes they used in the WII/360/PS3 versions.

    Seaside Hill sounds amazing.

Who did the arrangement for the DS version anyway? Does anyone know?

  6. Attention BioWare's handheld team: this is how you port classic Sonic music to the DS. I don't exactly know what it is that's so catchy about this music, given that it's not quite the caliber I'd expect from, say, the Ace Attorney games, but it translates the original songs very nicely.

Aww man. Now I want SA1 on the DS...

    Internet.
I want these to be in a 2D sonic game. Right fucking now.

  8. These DS tracks...

    KICK SO MUCH ASS!

I...need this OST. I NEED IT.

These are AMAZING...and especially since they are on a DS!

Only if we can get you guys cooking up Radiant Emerald from Sonic R as DLC into this. :v: (beaten)

The game has been a real blast so far, even if that desert Monkey Ball level fills me with the burning rage of a thousand suns. I will admit I was expecting Open Your Heart to be ripping when Super Sonic triggers, but otherwise, not much in the problem area here.

As for the DS music: fantastic stuff. I'm really digging Windy and Ripply, which has pretty much become the exclusive track on my game for anything to even do with Seaside Hill Zone. That song is just... perfection. Why can't Jun Senoue do anything awesome like that anymore?

EDIT: Hey, Xbros with this game who can record themselves playing. Someone mind doing one of the later Final Fortress levels with "The Core" from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity playing in-game? I'd do it but the PS3 version, for some crazy reason, lacks custom soundtrack support, which is just silly.

I gotta say, it's really nice to see someone "up there" commenting on the stuff that fans do without either pretending it doesn't exist or simply giving the usual corporate speech. By the way, for all the bitching that fans are said to do (which some people still refuse to admit is mostly deserved), you guys did a damn good job with this game; easily one of my favorite games in recent years! Thank you so much for doing justice to SEGA's portfolio and our memories.

I don't know if you're able to take this as a suggestion, but please give us tracks from Sonic games other than Sonic Heroes as DLC; though your renditions of the 9 Sonic tracks in the game are great, it's really sad to see that the only series with so much representation is entirely represented by one single game, especially the one that is largely seen as being when things started to get messy. How about Sonic 3 or Sonic Adventure 1 or 2? There's so much great material there that could be adapter intro some awesome racing tracks!

I could, but it'd have to be on a slightly above average off-screen quality.

Interestingly, the Multiplayer Battle Mode in this game is called "King of the Hill". Coincidence?

Someone called Allister Brimble did the DS soundtrack. He is an absolutely legendary video game composer in the UK - he used to do the music for the Dizzy games on the Commodore 64. You can see a list of the games he worked on here (click on a game and then "Music: Listen" to hear the music).

Hopefully I'll be getting the PS3 version of this some time next week. I'm very excited about the DLC (Streets of Rage, please!).

Oh god, yes. I can see it now - Axel (or Blaze; whichever) riding one of those yellow speedster bikes the punks used in SOR2/3. All-Star move has them jumping into the E-Swat/SOR1 Police Car and driving while SOR1's Nameless Police Dude™ pokes out the roof and fires his rocket launcher, functioning similar to Dr. Eggman's All-Star Move.

This, Segata Sanshiro, and Ristar (riding a giant star that functions similar to Opa-Opa or Ulala's glider). Those would be my top 3 fantasy DLC characters. = ) Well, that and the cast of Decap Attack (Chuck/Head/Igor/Professor all in a clapped out little car, heh!), but that's simply because the strip in Sonic the Comic was so awesome back in the day. I know a lot of people who remember the characters, but I don't think I know a single person who played the game (myself included). Guess I'll stick that on my "less-chance-of-getting-into-ASR-than-Hank-Hill" list.

Quick question - I wonder if the game's set up to support DLC music tracks? Classic Sonic tunes such as Chemical Plant or Flying Battery would be nice, and Jet Set Radio's crying out for the inclusion of Sweet Soul Brother or Super Brothers. I doubt DLC racetracks would be on the cards (though it'd be totally awesome if they were!), but a Fantasy Zone themed one could work - something nice and totally surreal.

Someone should send him an email thanking him for those awesome remixes. Then email bioware telling them "THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT IDIOTS!"

XMs? You meant 2SF, right? If so I already posted them here on this topic, along with the stream files.

EDIT: I forgot to post but mentioned I would be posting XD.

Hell yeah! This as next DLC please!

Does anyone know if there will be downloadable tracks? If so, I'm fully expecting Yokosuka Harbour.

    Opa-Opa is bloody god tier.

Other than him, Robotnik is my favorite racer, though I don't have them all yet.

Ocean Palace reminds me a great deal of Big Blue from F-Zero GX for the gamecube. The massive undersea tunnels are awesome.
