How would you redesign Sonic the Hedgehog?

I'll try the Tails one and see what I can make of it. Don't expect anything great, though.

 

What about her?

 

I'd say she's a harder case... mainly, the more feminine build. Don't know.

And actually, while I'd love to see Retro Sonic and Retro Silver and the like, I'd say the moment she starts getting round, the moment she gets worse- Blaze is the one character I'll say works much, much better leaner, like, you know, a cat.

EDIT: Actually, give me a minute and I'll try it.

 

I'd say just make her shorter, and redo her eyes like Sally's from the first season of SatAM, except yellow instead of blue.

And, maybe simplify her cuffs. I dunno if that'd be possible, though. Lemme fire up Photoshop and see what I can do....

 

How about Amy? People were not too long ago debating over her modern design and her classic design, how about mixing the two?

That is a horrible image to work with + the detailing is enormous. Don't blame yourself.

 

Blaze seemed like more of an interesting challenge so I gave it a shot. Turned out kinda bleh and even accidentally forgot the tail.

And as always, only when you've finished all, and changed pc, and the like, do you notice her eye doesn't connect to the muzzle. Goddamn.


I guess some explaination. Increased Eyes and muzzle, saturated shoes, jewels and neck, gave her normal classic eyes with a twist- they're thinner, more slit-like on the first, on the second I used Arctides' idea, The third is more Klonoa-esque.

 

That actually looks.. pretty awesome so far. Especially since Blaze is my favorite new gen character.

I think the problem is that the spines on his head are much too long, and his limbs are way too thick.

Well, suggestions on next victim? Out of my personal preference, I'd do Silver.

Hrm. I'd say he deserves the talented guys who did Sonic to do him, he's that awesome. Though I'd guess he'll still have the modern clothing, changing outfits =/= changing proportions.
