Well uh, I don't really have any problem with Unleashed's speed, even with a fully leveled Sonic. Eggmanland was mostly the level that would punish me for going constantly fast, but that level was more of a platforming-centric affair anyway.

Sure things were frustrating at first, but after memorizing the levels and learned to not boost like an idiot, things turned just fine.

I wouldn't have minded Needlemouse to be like Unleashed with the 2D/3D gameplay before they said it was going to be a 2D game. I really enjoyed the daytime levels in the game and sometimes even the Werehog levels. I think that a game based off the daytime unleashed levels would win me over. Though I'd like to see the speed shoes, invincibility, and shields brought back. Along with the pinball mechanics and spin dash and what not. I think the moves he had in unleashed like the sliding, homing attack. boost and so on you could take some of them and make them a shield exclusive or have them as an leveled up feature after you collect so many emeralds. This way you can control Sonic's speed and stuff in the game making these extra moves a bonus for completing the game and pretty much leaving you with traditional genesis style gameplay to start out with and build upon Sonic's abilitys as you move through the game making it rewarding to play.

I have to agree that Unleashed was not only too fast but also far too loose. I also hated the jumping in Rush and wasn't happy to see that sort of physics return. The controls are very awkward when not boosting. They're awkward while boosting as well, but generally you can use it to skip over annoying parts of the level.

And in general Unleashed's use of "multiple paths" was disappointing. It's not much more than what they had in some of the rail levels in SA2 or Heroes.

SA2B PAL would like to have a word with you. I'll bet they did that because that same bug kept popping up for them, and rather than improve Sonic's handling mid-air they went with that.

Alright, fuck. We're at 133 pages and I KEEP THINKING EVERYTIME I SEE THIS THREAD BUMPED NEW INFO IS FINALLY HERE.

That's it, SEGA officially has me hooked on this game. This is so unfair, god dammit. :psyduck:

SEGA, JUST ONE SCREENSHOT. JUST ONE, PLEASE. THROW US A BONE.

It's amazing how much of a hype machine you can build by showing absolutely nothing.

Is there a number for how many "show us something already!" posts in this thread?

Umm what bug? Me being an SA2B PAL region man. Was it that thing where it regesters a doubletap instead of a single one?

Cause umm, I never had that issue, well ok I sorta did, but it only ever did it on the Tails/Eggman mech stages, and all that resulted in was a higher jump :/

Although after switching from playing on the GC to playing it on the Wii it totally stoppeed doing it all together, for me anyway lol lead me to belive it was just a controller issue.

I've never played the DC version, and I only ever play in 60hz. Egg Golem is a bitch.

You bring back bad memories :argh:

But yeah, I played the GCN version at 60hz too and still had the double tap problem.

The hype is only building because Sega is doing everything they DON'T normally do prior to the release of a big game, which is, showing NOTHING and providing NO info outside of the original, cryptic teaser trailer.

That, and they're doing something I've wanted for a long fucking time. Since the days I would keep seeing Sonic Jam or 3D blast on shelves, and not seeing "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" anywhere in sight.

    Yea. That long.

    ;___;
OH FUCK WHAT IS GOING ON

They really haven't changed anything since the teaser.

    Nevermind then.

It's pretty much the only folder there that keeps disappearing, so that's pretty interesting I guess.

I check the FTP every hour, every day for updates on all games, and it's never disappeared for me.

It's done so for me plenty of times, and several others here as well. Weird.

  20. 134 pages of posts. Really guys? You realize everything in this thread is absolutely conjecture, right?
