Japan to finally get Sonic X episodes 53-78

Keep an eye on SXU over the next week or so as I update with 53-78 stuff.

 

I appreciate it, but like you said, they're almost a minute out of sync. Its from the beginning, which implies to me that they were made for a version with a chopped down intro or something.

 

All right, I'll fix this when I finish downloading the eps. If it's only a matter of delay, the better.

Is this a fan character or some character design that never appeared (at least I don't remember it)? The hair a different colour from fur is something that those who design Sonic characters have yet to understand.

Translation needed.

 

One other issue with the subtitles is the fact they were timed to "Speed up" footage, so they're going to eventually get out of sync. Another problem is the fact they're obviously translated from the french dub, which is a rather loose translation (and isn't entirely accurate and at times can be completely different) from the Japanese version. So...

 

He appears for 5 seconds or so on Episode 60.

It's a shame he was used for so few time. I personally like his design a lot.

WHAT was Hobidon used for, anyways? I always loved how Kimba-esque he was, honestly.

Hobidon was used for a flashback video of a long-gone culture (IIRC, due to the removal of the Planet Egg causing the planet to become inhospitable?). This video sequence was very short.

 

I guess that at least proves that Sonic Team can still design species beyond Hedgehogs...

There's another episode (in the later episodes IIRC) where a bunch of other animals are shown, including Vanilla, watching a display with Sonic on it. I forget the episode, but there were a bunch of brand new character designs.

 

Uhm, I'm not a fan of the different colour hair, but yes, he looks good besides that and he has the tail that matches it so... still the chest hair doesn't meh.

Oh I hadn't noticed Ricky and the gang there. This is a good find.

 

Also, other "Ckys" as well the 4 types of Flickies appear on episode 39 and I think on 42 or 43 (don't remember now)

 

Ckys? I remember there was a couple of animals like Sonic at some random cafe.

4KID$ is rerunning it on USA, but... it's that version... every Saturday, 2 episodes per week if I'm not wrong.

 

Finished the download, was slow as hell, but lets see some differences found.

- Episode 26: Interesting enough, they used the TV version o the episode that have "Kotoba ni Dekinai" music by Kazumasa Oda from Off-Couse. I expected to see the version from Japanese DVD that used an instrumental version of Hikaru Michi

- Episode 52: International Master Version, so that's mean no text. This time they used the Japanese DVDs audio. Hikaru Michi replaces Natsu no Hi (by Oda again) and the end of Sonic Adventure 2 replaces the music Midori no Hibi (same as last). But different to the TV version, the last part of the episode have with voices and all! Originally the scenes was passing without any voice or soundeffect.

- General stuff on Metarex arc: All episodes have Eyecatchs. Most of them Metarex robots, ships and all the awesome Engrish. Previews for next episodes also. Something curious is about the Opening and Credits: TV Tokyo isn't credited anywhere for those episodes, so this means they wasn't involved with production. A thing that was preety weird to see on the other versions (like French and the 4KIDS one aswell) was some blank signs or paper... now they all have japanese text. I want some translation for them if it's possible.

- Episode 65: The Vector's dream about Tails and Cosmo now have japanese text over it, inteasted the romaji text =P

- Episode 77: It's creditless. Now you can see the full sequence without any text.

- Preview of Episode 78: The scene where Shadow appears it's from the prototype version of the episode - the one exibithed on France.

- Episode 78: The credits sequence is weird but cool at same time, they put the characters name with the voice actors. It's a shame they always ignore the Chaotix! ¬¬


I expected to see some more updates on Metarex episodes. But maybe in a future DVD or BluRay release of the series.

 

Man I hope someone plugs some accurate subs on this, I have always kinda liked this series best as its not set on earth, but I cant find even the french version with subs with a valid torrent or MU link ¬_¬

Anyone here know where one is? aslong as its not the 'oh so wonderful 4kids adaptation' lol
