I'm working on it right now, I hope to have it soon, however, I'm hated by the beta, cause it won't read the debug codes I give it. I will keep trying though.

Edit: Here's the savestate of Genocide city that I have. I've had that pic for months now but always kept thinking someone had already posted about it. Oh well, have fun.

How the #@!! did you get that with the palette editor? It plays the CHZ music and Sonic can actually move around a bit...

Well, this is quite a starnge thing. It appears only on the top of the whole level.

I happen to notice that the weird dots in the background scroll similar to the backgrounds of normal levels. I wonder if it scrolls similar to CPZ. Pardon me if I'm wrong about the scrolling, I'm not much into the techie part of S2...(or any Sonic game for that matter)

WHY DID THIS JUST SINK TO THE BOTTOM?!?!?

We need Esrael or someone to tell us if this is a hoax, then we'll see what we can do about it! THIS COULD BE HUGE!!! :)

    EDIT: Invalid save state file.

Those are Aquatic Ruin Zone tiles, correct? If I remember correctly, Saxman said that the ARZ tiles were the default ones loaded into the RAM. So what you have there is most likely a code to enable the tiles into the level.

It is kinda interesting to know that the tile found actually have some ground to them. But I find it more bizzare that I got them with a palette change. Would some one like to inform me how this happens?

    I'll try.

GCZ is a strange level in the way it was programmed as well as DEZ. These levels have little or no programming built into them. If even a small change is made then it can change the level in radical ways. It's not supposed to do this but you can never tell the things that can happen.

I'd try the level, but I keep getting an "invalid state file" error because I have a BIN rom.

    I disagree...if a change is made,a change is made.

A pallete switch isn't programming. It's a pallete switch. Maybe the creator of the save state got the ARZ pallete, which leads to having tiles.

It's not huge. I doubt it's in the level's layout.

It's probably just a random mess of tiles.

    Or I could be wrong.

Not to sound cold but your efforts are futile. The only evidence we have that confirm`s the level`s existance are the words that appear on the level select. Perhaps Yuji Naka knows.
