Sonic and the Black Knight

To be fair, that is a platform game, so you can't expect it by default to be ported to PC. They have done it a few times, sure, but you shouldn't assume that it'll happen; plus it uses the Wii Remote, so it's even more doubtful that they'd bother changing that.

 

Eh, the intro video didn't seem all that bad to me. They've never really been good with dialogue though, have they?

 

Propably yes, but it hasn't just to be Wii only! If I could buy Wii just for this game, it would be a garbage. Plus, one stupid thing can't block the production for other platforms (if not PC, then at least Xbox 360 or PS3).

PS. I know there are some Sonic games for PC, I even played one when I was about 5-6 years old kid ("Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island" for your knowledge).

 

I'm assuming that what you're trying to say is, essentially, that "having to buy a console just for one game that you want sucks", please correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case, then of course it sucks and it's how I feel about my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4, but that's the nature of competition between multiple systems; it's just how things are.

 

So how about Open Source applications, like OpenOffice.org or Mozilla web browser? They're multi-platform so should do the console games. Yes, they're not Open Source but some corporations don't have any problems to give a game to other consoles. They work hard to get more players and that's the good move. That's why I said that about Sonic.

 

I doubt SEGA even considers the PC as a platform, as their main audience won't have decent gaming rigs. Just laptops with intergrated cards, I'd love to see how Unleashed would run on the Intel intergrated lineup.

 

Wasn't Sonic 06 going to have a PC version?

Unfortunately, SEGA didn't listen to them.

 

It all started when SEGA accidently listen PC as one of the options for Sonic 06 on the Sonic Zone site or whatever, so when the game was released fans were pissed off there was no PC version. That's all I guess there was.

This... this BAFFLES me... people still think/care about this? Good lord, the game wasn't buggy enough that the fans wanted and still want them to crank out a PC version so they can play it? I could understand at the time the consoles weren't affordable, but now, come on guys, seriously.

That said, I'm picking up the game today... and dreading it.

 

They secretly want it so they can hack and mod it.

 

Hmm, neat surprise and idea with some really good art. Definitely looking forward to seeing that after playing.

In terms of gameplay...eh, I'll have to see after I play it, but it doesn't look that bad.

 

Still not pre'd on usenet. I'm quite surprised, actually.

This game will drop in price pretty fast. Give it three months and it'll probably already be $10-$15 off.
