Sonic Unleashed ADX Set!

I spent the better part of the afternoon working on extracting, looping, and compressing some of the various BGM in the game Unleashed.
Nothing's been tagged because I really don't have any real concrete info on who did what other than Bowling for Soup did Endless Possibility and Ohtani and Nanba seem to have done most of the other BGM. I guess we'll have to wait until the OST is released.

It should be noted that the daytime ADX files actually are in the game as a set of AIX files instead, including the intro and loop sections and then a duplicate of those tracks with a phaser and equalization effect added. In making the ADX I got rid of that second set of data entirely, so you're left with the standard set of ADX tracks instead.

Note that the night stages can be found in the STG_E folder and the day stages in the STG_S folder. Note that there's a standard battle music that seems to play for all the night stages in addition to the normal night BGM which I assume is used for the platforming segments. Also there seem to be 2 completely different night boss music bits, I guess one for in the night stages directly and one for boss battles that are their own stage.

I used Megaupload even though I know it sucks because I like to use my box account for smaller things so as not to use the limited bandwidth.

Note that CHN is Chu-Nan, EGB is Eggmanland (I assume), EUC is Spagonia, MYK is Apotos, PTR is Shamar, SEA is Adabat, and SNW is Holoska, not surprisingly, which is true for both day and night stages. Obviously we won't get the ADX for the other two stages (Mazuri, Empire City) until the other version comes out. Pity, as the Mazuri track was always a highlight in all its combination of Sonic Rush and S1GG glory.

The bad result screen is DEFINITELY worth a listen -- the title music is as awesome as it was when I first heard it. I said I wanted orchestral music in a style similar to Super Mario Galaxy, and I guess that I got it. I'm actually liking the day stage music far more than I thought I would, though I will admit that the songs are simple and abuse the amen break as much as you thought that they would from the trailers.

For those of you who really dislike ADX files, I might try making an mp3 set as well, but I figure you'd be better off waiting for the OST to get released anyway so I won't do it unless a bunch of people want it (and I'm serious this time).

Honestly, I figure you may as well download the ADX files and then convert to wave and then to mp3 or ogg or something.

in_cube is seriously outdated; use VGMStream, it should support ADX files.

Nice job!

Although I'm still Downloading, I am rather dissapointed that from the YouTube videos I've seen, the Mission Clear theme has changed completely. I know this may seem insignificant, but this was the one shred of music that has stuck with with the Sonic series since the Genesis days. The Mario games have always employed the same musical themes since the beginning and the Sonic series have only given us bits and pieces, but the one constant theme was the end of level theme, but now, even THAT has now dissapeared. It's nice to have SOME music tradition in the Sonic games, but I guess that's a rarity these days.

Uploaded a 7z of all the ADXes converted to MP3. To make sure they didn't have ADX-style names, I also renamed all the files. No folders, but I kept their catagories based on folders. So you have, like, Boss - Last 2.mp3, Night - Battle D.mp3, etc.

160kbps, VBR. I'm sure some audiophiles will bitch it wasn't 320kbps, but I never saw a point in having music such extremely high quality when 128kbps is perfectly listenable - and if you want it in higher quality, you can just get the ADX pack.

No, the tunes that are on the PS3/360 version only aren't included in this pack.

It's the Wii version's music. Mazuri(Except it's Town Hub theme) and Empire City aren't present in this.
