Custom title cards

    Is this actually doable in any shape or form? I was just wondering if it is possible, and if so, if one could port S2 or S3 style cards to S1, or vice versa.

    I think you'll have to edit Art and Mappings though.

    This is possible. You have to copy the entirety of Obj34 (which loads the title cards) and create a separate file for it, then edit sonic1.asm to read the new file.

    An easier way is to use SonMapED, and edit the ART FOR THE TEXT FIRST. Then, use it to arrange the text into words, I.e YOSHI WOODS, and save the art/mappings into their respective areas. Text being a new file in _maps. A good idea is to call it Obj34.asm, however there is an alternate way. If you call it something else, you can copy/paste it into sonic1.asm into the respective area. From there it's up to you.

    S-Factor and Sonic 1 Remastered use /very/ custom title cards.
