Aren't you the guy who used to make gigantic 30 page topics whining about Shadow or something? You're one to talk. :words:

That said, I think our detest of this game is more than warranted. It's not like Secret Rings was good or anything, so it's not really a redeeming comparison.

Yup. Years of expecting a "Sonic 4" from the minds that made the franchise can do that to people. I'm just here for the ride. :words:

Nothing that concerns this place in the least.
    Fixed.

    *Shot*

But seriously, though. Let's not forget about the time where Sonic actually DID die, which was in Next-Gen Sonic, when he got killed in just one attack by Mephiles.

I am, actually! Too bad I don't anymore, those were good times. :words:

I thought Secret Rings was decent. It wasn't anything spectacular, but I enjoyed it for the most part.

In all honesty Sonic with a sword isn't the greatest idea (Actually, it's fucking stupid!), but with Unleashed looking atleast decent I could really care less about this game. It's probably geared more towards kids than the more adult or "hardcore" Sonic fans, considering Secret Rings was as well.

This is pretty much as I thought.

    I think Sega has a new master plan;

There's Sonic Unleashed, which, for all its flaws, is targeted closer to people like us; then there's the 'storybook' series, made for the kids.

The fact the Storybook series usually exists outside of canon (at least, that was how SATSR was) indicates a remote possibility that from now on, they're going to keep all of the bizarre, whacked-out game concepts to the kid section.

Although the Werehog is still questionable...

At least they're trying new things, I was getting tired of every game since Sonic Adventure being Sonic Adventure Again

Sonic shouldn't use a weapon ever but it sounds like this Knight stuff might be optional. At least... there's that.

It's like I said in the unleashed topic, Sonic is dead, he's not coming back. He's gone. I feel like I hardly knew him.

    Top Secret. Bitch.

You people are going to kill me for this giantic post and what's in it.

But before I get to the part that warrents my demise, I'd like to ask..... Am I the only one here who doesn't really care about the past 'failures' I mean, come on, If I were to be published, and people not like my first book, would I quit? No, I'd jsut keep going in the same direction with it. That's what SEGA is trying to do. Unlike the rest of you, I know how hard it is to come up with hit after hit. After a while, the hits start getting fewer and farther between. Course, SEGA's starting to lack originality....

Now for the part that warrents my death: irrefutiable (sp?) proof of the game's existance

I posted my comment about the games existence earlier, I know it exists now, although earlier I actually was trying to prove that it could be real.

Huh. Didn't Sonic use a sword in the Archie comics before? I forgot the details, but I remember cover art featuring him holding one.

Anyway, as idiotic as the overwhelming majority think of this, at least Sega was already beaten to the punch at one stupid idea.
