    Based on people's general disdain for Sonic Drift, I'm suprised you're getting so much support. But, time to lend my own. Is Hot Shelter supposed to be like the actual Hot Shelter or is it supposed to be more of a volcano/lava level? Because there are some more fitting names for a volcano/lava themed level.

    ^ I liked Sonic Drift and its sequel enough, but the first was too easy and the second unfair in terms of AI. (Naturally preferred the sequel.)

    It's supposed to be more like the real Hot Shelter. What you see is Bowser's Castle 2 unedited in any-way except for the background.
    When I make the tracks, Hot Shelter will have very little Lava, and more along the lines of bottomless pits simmilar to Hang Castle.
    I like Sonic Drift fine, but on 2 I've had waay too many close races with the CPU due to the lack of handling or due to a lack of knowledge on when to turn(I think I've got it though!). Hopefully this hack will give it a much better name.

    Hey, are you going to change the stats of all the charactars to be fitting? Like the stats in Sonic Drift? Or are you going to have your own?

    Unless I can figure them out(The file I have has lots of information and offsets, but the file is somewhat vauge about the drivers stats, no real indication on hw to edit them or what formula they use), I won't change them. However, I base whom replaces whom on 2 basic prinicples:
    1. Does the character fit in the pallete for a particular character?
    2. Does that characters driving stats work?

    And the resemblance between Machine Labrynth and Bowser's Castle is also a bit stunning. Does the zone have a shorter name though?
    Bowser's Castle
    Machine Labrynth
    Bowser's Castle has 14 characters(16 counting 2 spaces)
    and Machin Labrynth has 15(17).

    Changed features:
    *Four Playable Drivers. Uncomplete GFX
    *4 Mushroom Cup tracks changed(The last one is one included with the Track Design, and I have every intention of replacing it as well.
    *Starlight has changed BG
    *Minor Textual and Item GFX Changes have been made

    Feel free to tell me of any bugs or loose ends you find. Also feel free to make Videos and Screenshots of your own.
    I myself won't be able to make a You Tube video due to CamStudio slowing down the Emulator, so sorry.

    Also, feel free to play multi-player net-play. I'd love to play someone who doesn't drive off the road(and possibly into the abyss).

    Working on my art!
    A couple problems, sprite based really.
    • Rouge is still refered to as Princess
    • When characters shrink they revert back to their original sprites
    • When a character drives away from you, that character reverts to it's original sprite
    • Shadow's palette is wrong
    • Victory sprites incomplete
    • Track 5 of the mushroom cup is an absolute mess. Characters don't know where to go, very easy to launch into oblivoion
    • Characters don't know where to go on custom tracks, Shadow doesn't drop you off in proper locations in custom tracks (Sometimes drops you off a cliff). Finish line is not located in the right spot on the 5th track.
    Pretty good. I love the idea. I'm surprise you haven't put Sonic in yet though lol.

    Like I said, I have every intention of replacing the fifth track.
    The characters also have incomplete sprites, but that's a quick fix.
    I have to use a hex-editor and tinker with the AI a bit. Fixing the AI however will also Solve the Shadow Poblem.
    As for Shadows pallete, that got screwed up right after I finished editing him! It looks like I'll have to play with him and see what works.
    Rouge being refered as Princess can simply be changed via Hex-Editor.

    QUCIK QUESTION: Anybody fammilar with changing SNES music?

    that's an interesting Idea...I'll keep that in mind.
    It now says Rouge in the GP results.
    Inserted Tails today. I managed to get alot of his GFX in due to Tile Layer Pro's Import/Export Bitmap feature :colbert:
    I'll use this and Rot Sprite to get the rest of them in there and all tidy, and that problem will be solved.
    I also played around with demo inputs today, and I made Tails drive like a total retard XP.
    Awhile ago, I figured out how to modify driver stats, so expect the stats to change how I see fit.(I'm tired of not being able to corner with Rouge and Tails anyway).
