Sonic CD decompilation

The post-credits THANK YOU FOR PLAYING scene seems to work, though just like back in the day I can't seem to input my initials. How is this supposed to work?

 

I've been working on D.A. Garden, and so far I got everything to show up as expected. Except, the Little Planet seems to be rotating around a different center point than its own.

After selecting a new music track the focus of your input is supposed to go back to Little Planet, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I've already compared the assembly again to check for decompilation errors, but I'm not seeing any at the moment.

The controls on the original Mega CD version seem to be:

• A: activate playlist
• B: change rotation speed
• C: change zoom

In the PC version, B exits the mode. What exits the mode on the original? The Start button?
