The port of Outrunners on the Gen/MD happens to have arrangement work done by none other than Junko Shiratsu, as in Chaotix. Obviously most of these are ports from the arcade, but often significantly different as she put her own spin on things. The arrangement style for many of the songs, though, is quite familiar - similar instruments (but not the same between the two games), and prominent use of the PSG channels.

There's also this single track, Travel Seaward, which is not in the original arcade game - it is a new composition by Shiratsu for the port.

...yep, 7 seconds in and that PSG sweep sure reminds me of something:

It's kind of shame she never did any other work on the Genesis/32X - I've always thought her style made good use of the hardware.

Speaking of Junko, her work on J.LEAGUE Pro Soccer Club o Tsukurou! 1 and 2 is basically just Knuckles Chaotix in "HD", mostly thanks to the same drumkit

    creating the biggest sonic collection
Ride the Whirlwind sounds an awful lot like flying battery zone to me. I didn't even read your note about it not sounding like Sonic until afterwards.

What’s funny is I specifically opted to not include bloody street because I felt like I was bloating the thread. So yea we have the same favorites.
