ahhh you know, it'd be a good idea to archive everything from every dev and official account too. certainly they would all matter more to the preservation effort than Penders lol

Is there an easy way to archive/scrape an entire twitter account? I tried WFDownloader, and it saved all the images and videos, but none of the text

While scouring Twitter for yet more Wiki sources, I came across something extremely shocking I couldn't have come up with if I tired.

And he didn't tweet this on April 1st either. He genuinely wanted the first cover of the Endgame saga (a serious storyline where Sonic is framed for murdering Sally) to be a silly parody of the O.J. trials. Words cannot describe how utterly hilarious this is.

I think the funniest part of this is calling a character "Ford Bronco" after the car OJ Simpson drove. :V Doesn't surprise me the guy has always been weird. xD

This is hilarious but also kinda cringe. They made the right call going with a more serious cover.

    Life.

Per that Twitter thread, Linkara apparently reviewed Ken's former magnum opus The Lost Ones a couple years back.
I'm... mildly curious to see how his not-Sonic stuff is. I completely wiped my memory of that one Star Trek comic written by him that I found years ago. (I think the pictures are somewhere in this thread. Christ, 168 pages…)

He did a few single-page filler stories for Valiant's short-lived The Legend of Zelda series, most of which just revolved around listing off Link's ancestors for what felt like ages. So just the Penders usual, really.

Come to think of it, had that series continued, there's a pretty high chance that he would've dumped all the ideas from his questionable Native American comic pitch onto Zelda instead of Knuckles, and The Lara-Su Chronicles would be a follow up to a story named Hyrule: 25 Years Later instead.

And I highly doubt that Nintendo would've kept him on a leash any more than Sega did, given how they were already fine with Valiant's Game Boy series being essentially just Falling Down (1993) with Mario.

With 160+ pages to go through, this entire thread is already a fascinating cultural study of first world problems.

You could write brilliant scholarly articles about how stupid this whole saga (Penders) has been over the past 2 decades.

Just wanna note here that the "cyber native Americans" thing is, as far as I can tell, an unsubstantiated rumor. It sounds plausible given how he used the Felidae in the Sonic Adventure comics (among his general brand of weird racism), but the earliest source I was ever able to find on it being a real thing he supposedly pitched was from kiwifarms, which I wouldn't trust even if that thread were backed up, which I don't think it was.

    That's good to know.

I've always believed in the claim simply because of how quintessentially Penders it sounds, not once asking where it originated from.

Maybe the whole thing began as a game of broken telephone regarding The Lost Ones, a real Penders-written sci-fi comic with questionable treatment of ethnic minorities.

I'm not sure what "would" means here. I looked for the source and didn't find anything in particular. If Ken talked about having written and pitched a thing like this, his forum makes a lot of sense to check, but I didn't, because I'm not sure where and how to start. There was a lot of stuff there. Can you just keyword search snapshots on the wayback machine? If so, I never learned how.

How I yearn to have even 1% of that aura.

Seems like a good last call for anyone who wants to archive anything he's tweeted. There's probably a lot of Archie Sonic knowledge that will vanish if/when he pulls the plug. He's mentioned "leaving" recently and then came back after anyway, but given the January 20th context it could be fueled by enough sentiment for him to actually mean it this time. (Then again, he posted another Tweet as I was typing this, so...)

GhostArchive seems best at it for online backup. Slow, but better than how alternatives can handle tweets.

    ... They look nothing alike.
Both are based on this classical painting of Lucifer.

That makes more sense, though considering he's been caught tracing before, you'll pardon the skepticism.

I understand the skepticism in that regard, but even a quick glance at the 2 it should be obvious there was no connection. Scourge has entirely different proportions and his head is at a different angle to show his whole face, unlike Lucifer.
The other artist probably only said Penders was "Stealing my flow" in an exaggerated way, with the only connection being that it's Sonic characters doing the Lucifer painting and not a genuine accusation of plagiarism.
