Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

It's just their marketing campaign taking off. They always go all out for their tent pole titles. The pre-sale tickets went live today.

Gonna drive by Sunset Blvd. They always put out a bunch of shit their for all their big releases.

 

Well I guess going Super doesn’t bother me because it’s not a parody.

Ya their Super forms are basically the same as Dragonball. I know that’s what inspired it but a lot of characters gain super forms or powers one way or another. It’s a more broad idea.

 

We live in a world where Sonic went Super in a major Hollywood production before Goku.

And he's doing it again.

 

Do we want another major Hollywood production with Goku, though? It wasn't all that pretty the last time we got one.

 

They militarized the police, 10/10 for realism.

I do hope the human cast arc is a bit like Topaz uncovering the secret group within GUN covering Project Shadow and prosecuting them or Mr Stewart and Scarlet Garcia investigating what went down and finding Mr Smith.

 

I definitely would have done a few things differently if it was up to me. Jim Carrey in a duel role just doesn't appeal to me for example.

Having said that, I am still positive for this. I have zero nostalgia for the Adventure games or Shadow or Gerald or the Chao or the ARK or even Maria, etc. However, it might be good. I can only wait and see of course.

I have a sneaking suspicion the Chao in the film (while seeming to only be restaurant mascots in these clips) end up playing a bigger role and possibly as actual Chao by the film's end. Just one of those gut feelings but I could be wrong.

There have been several things I would have done differently with all three films. But, the previous two have been, in my opinion, quite good so I am going to try to stay positive for this. I do think a few of the scenes shown so far look pretty good from an aesthetic standpoint. I have hope.

 

Dude, they really locked-in with these posters, at this point, we might actually get the Sonic Adventure 2 cover one (I'm not couting the Sonic 3 Movie Mega Drive game cover).

 

Man, I was born loving Sonic the Hedgehog, and I’m gonna die loving Sonic the Hedgehog, through whatever shit SEGA drags him into. My expectations for this film are staggeringly high.

 

What the fuck is this movie.

 

You know, I'm glad I'm confused with these footages, a good and funny way to not reveal the plot and surely, what the fuck is going on.

That caught me all the way off guard. This second trailer is LIT. So glad that Sonic is going strong after what could have been a disaster in the first movie.

 

Everything the first two should have been for what they are, hopefully.

 

That new trailer really didn't do it for me. I ended up looking the other two movies against my expectations though so I'm not exactly turned off, but wow that was bad.

...Shouldn't these be in spoiler tags? I know they don't seem to reveal major plot points, but I, personally, would rather not see any unofficially-released content this close to the movie, and I know there will only be more over the course of the month...
