+ - Inb4 people get mad at it for "watering it down" while ignoring how they still did the whole attempted hug, nervous step-away thing. This is the inbetween and it is good, imo  

 

Kinda surprised they didn't add Omega to the ending cutscene

I fucking predicted it. Such a completely unnecessary change, but this likely won't even be the biggest offender.

Diehard Amy stans will likely still see this remaster as a net negative, however, as the only thing they hate more than that scene from OG Gens is whenever she is given more personality traits than a creepy obsession with Sonic.

 

This is a pretty *nothing* change...

It's the kind of thing people would want, it does remove whatever comedic moments the game did have. There's barely any to begin with, now the only thing remotely humorous about the scene is Sonic feigning surprise.

So unless the dialogue related to Classic Sonic remains unchanged, all the changes so far have done nothing for the game's charm.

Yeah, 90% od the cutscenes budget went to Shadow Gens. lol

 

Sega unironically did this to Amy and Sonic and it's actually hilarious.

I'm guessing that this is what will play on the title screen if you don't touch the controller for a long enough time.

Actually, from looking at their channel, the second video seems to be part of a set showing a good chunk of a full playthrough of the game, presumably with more to come... That's way too spoilery for me, I'll be ducking out of this thread if literally everything is about to be spoiled before the game is even out...!

 

well, without spoiling you, I can say that act 2 (the 2D) stages seem to be surprisingly fun and well-made. I was fully expecting Colors/Forces/Frontiers level of effort put into them, but they seem to be on par with Gens 2D stages.
Also THANK GOD the geometry and environments in them actually look cohesive and not just a bunch of blocks slapped together

Also, Sega is so weird for making these cutscene changes. It really is a bit like the Star Wars special editions.

 

Amy Pushed First

 

Dogshit promo made me cancel my pre-order TWICE. These leaks make me regret my decision. There's definitely a lot of Frontiers DNA in it, which I find great. Embracing what's worked for once? GOOD. It's insane how even the story beats seem on point so far. Kirk's voice is much easier to warm up to when he's taking center stage, I feel. Could that be what people mean when they call him a genius?

 

There's footage of the full Mephiles boss fight. ... All I'm gonna say is... Yeah, his voice leaves A LOT to be desired. He sounds way too... Normal, I think is the ideal word?

Well, I've managed to see pages from Gerald's journal, and it's everything I've wanted it to be and more!

Maria's life on the ARK, her family and her influence on Shadow was fleshed out so much, I'm actually sad that all this lore wasn't in SA2.

 

To be fair, can anyone compare to the hamminess of Dan Green?
