    The Japanese cover doesn't have Classic Sonic on it because there's not a subset of fans who seemingly only like the Classic Era. It's very cool.
     
  10. I've always read how Japan never has cared for Classic Sonic, but just omitting him from the boxart entirely is astounding. They really do not care about him at all lmao.

    No. There is no pre-order page for Switch up. None of the other store fronts have details on file size either. It's way too early to be asking this.

    After seeing this neo-White Space, I'm sort of lost. Is the idea to provide an open world hub leading to said showcased levels that you have to load into separately, or is every zone going to be connected in one unified space? Perhaps it would be too intensive of an ask, but being able to see all the colour flow back into the stage you just left would be majorly exhilarating.
    Additionally, I wonder if there are any plans for whole bosses in-between each stage... We haven't seen anything apart from Biolizard, but an HD Metal Overlord fight to coincide with Generations' Perfect Chaos would go fairly hard if included. Might even do well as a challenge boss, like Silver or Metal Sonic.

    HE2's graphical fidelity seems solid enough, hope it's able to hold up on the Switch and it's upcoming successor - Absolutely loving how clean and sleek everything appears to be at a close enough range, though I worry about pop-in issues being grandfathered in from Frontiers. At worst, I can see the Switch version running at 25fps if Sonic Team is attempting to push quality over all else.

    Extra content is enthralling enough of a prospect, but I'm not willing to purchase an entirely new PlayStation console just to access deleted scenes which, in all likelihood, will just be dumped online afterwards. I love having music to add to my collection, if the artbook is as trash as Armored Core 6's then I'm not touching it, and I sincerely hope the Terios & Adventure skin will be properly rigged for the in-game animations.
     
  15. The mega drive was never popular in Japan, so 2D Sonic (and by extension Classic) just never took off. Sonic didn't really start getting popular there until Sonic Adventure, hence there's much more attachment to the modern aesthetic.

    Judging by the screenshots, Shadow can shoot things with Chaos Spears, and use these weird Doom Wings or whatever they are to glide. Are they using Doom Powers combined with Chaos stuff as a stand-in for and replacing the vehicles and guns from his old game altogether? Honestly probably a smarter move while still keeping him edgy than bringing back live firearms again.
     
  19. I just noticed nobody has actually posted the trailer here in the thread. Disregard this, I suck cocks.

    I'm having trouble grasping the physics here. That homing attack delay with Shadow reeks of Frontiers, but the rest of it doesn't look as stiff as that game. I'm more concerned about the level design. What we've seen so far looks more similar to Frontiers levels than Generations levels.

    So we got Rail Canyon, Final Chase, Kingdom Valley, and...an undefined, warped city stage. I guess a messed up version of Westopolis? And also two bosses, Biolizard and Black Doom (Devil Doom?).

    Seriously glad that the remaster element of this game isn't getting ignored to pour all of it's content into the Shadow part of it, very cool.
