Sonic X Shadow Generations thread, movie level out now

Oh yeah. The promo 2D shorts never get old, they might be one of the best things the 2010s era gave Sonic.

 

Awesome we're getting a new animated short and I hope that panel has some neat insights into Shadow's development. Iizuka's mentioned that Shadow was conceived during SA1's development in the past and I've always wondered how he would've factored into SA1 had he been introduced there. Fingers crossed we get some new info to chew on.

Cool, these animated shorts are great I just wish they were actually viewable in-game.

It's wild how each promotional short this series gets ends up topping the last in terms of visual direction. I will forever be praying for a full animated series with Hesse at the helm of art direction. Maybe even an adaptation of the IDW book - given how many great action pages it has, seeing them come to life in this format would be gorgeous.

 

I'm really excited for this short and I hope there is a flashback of Maria's death, just so after she states her wish they can add a new line for Shadow where he says "No, I have no friends"

 

I can't believe we get to watch the kid get yeeted twice in one year

I'm convinced the drought between Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers did something to the Sonic fanbase's sanity

 

They definitely aren't speaking for all of us so I can't say I'd agree.

 

Man... Never got so excited to see a kid with like AIDS or something like that get shot by a soldier sent by the government again

 

All the non sonic fans that take their kids to see this are gonna be soooooo confused when we start clapping and cheering for a kid's brutal murder

That’s great to hear. Hopefully we see a Superstars Plus as well, because it’d be nice to see that game get some additional content and remix the tracks that are clearly still demos.
