Fuck me the industry is really running out of ideas if they're having to bring this back. Nah only kidding this was great back in my Commodore days it will be interesting to see how this ends up.
I do actually think it's pretty cool that SEGA is making a new Zaxxon (even if it's in name only) and don't mind that it's for mobile devices. Good job to Sega and whoever there brought up the idea of bringing friggin Zaxxon back.
Maybe it's a sequel to the Atari 2600 and Intellivision versions also Sega - the Amiga version of Zaxxon isn't yours. It's a public domain remake from 1995.
