I have a 3rd party X-box 1 controller and want to hook it the pc. I found a website that gives instructions on how to hook up the name brand controller to it. I followed what it said but the wires in the third party controller do not match what is on the name brand controller. I tried wiring random wires together and made the controller light up, but it doesn't show up in emulators. Anyone got any clue what should wire together? This is the website where I got the instructions: http://www.fury-tech.com/en/Guides/Xbox-Co...-Conversion-Mod The X-box controller has gold, green, red, silver, and the extra wire. The USB has white, black, green and red wires. The name of the controller is Intec Glow Controller.
I've always had trouble with 3rd party controllers, as they do have tendancy for being colour coded differently. XBOX controllers are quite cheap now, about £10. I've got about 4 of them wired up =P Alternatively, for £40 you can get hold of a 360 pad and wireless receiver, which saves all of the wiring. =P
Well, the controller is my brothers, and I had asked him to get a 360 controller, but he didn't know the difference I guess. Since we got the controller now, I wanna just try hooking it up.
Well, in USB leads, Red is power. Black is Ground. You got it to light up, correct? Well, download XBCD, and use the same wiring combination, Get to light up again, but do not switch the USB's black & red with anything else then, just swap over white/green.
