Indeed, Sonica! Illustrator's jump, and these results shows up huge improvements. Now, complete this pretty badnik! ^^
____I__________II_________III____ I - Direct Remaster II - Original III - Alternative (I like this one!) My bombs, 85% completed. Which one is the best? Obs.: I don't want comments like this: Hmm, it looks like shit. I want comments like this: Hmm, it looks like shit, to enhance it you can ------- and maybe -------.... So, construtive critiques are welcome!
You could try emphasizing that the bombs are spheres by adding more circular shading to it, see how that turns out. I think the special stages are one of the largest opportunities for us to push the HD treatment with creative license.
I like the bombs, but I would imagine that the metal "tubes" sticking out of the bomb are really spikes.
I think the new sine looks a bit off... I'm not too sure what it is, it's just the shape of it. Also, I always assumed that the "bombs" had spikes on them.
The shine is better in terms of making it appear as a sphere, but it also makes the bomb look like it has in a layer of clear coat polish. Some examples of how I think it could look: Track ball 8 ball Snooker ball Gumball Most of them still shine just a bit too much for me, but I feel it's a step in the right direction of how it should look. I think I like the 8 ball the best.
Wow, great stuff Master Emerald! However, like Drex said, you might consider using a slightly softer shine there. Possibly something like this: Keep up the good work!
News: New and softer shine Extra frame for a glowing light! (Suggestion) I reworked the blue part from the bottom.
Hi guys! Special stage frame 90% completed. Now I added my shine effects on the balls (the earliers were only place holders...) (PS.: I'll reedit the central ball soon).
That is awesome, ME! I come with Rexon badnick updates! The head is completed! Now work on the neck has been started

If you add those darker areas it might just look weird :/ Amazing job, as always!
I like the new work that has been shown. I'll probably have something new to show next week, that is, if I'm not too busy.
Marvellous work Sonica, please follow Kirinja's suggestion, the purple metal is covering the white "ball". That's why it's casting a shade on the original frame! RGX, Please consider doing the missing EHZ Coconuts badnik, as no one has managed to HD him yet!
