Here's what I found. h266_retrofix.7z (76.2 MB) I also included a couple things that retrofix didn't pick up, although I don't know why. Perhaps my version of the files got corrupted, the SHA1's were incorrect, or they were already reuploaded.
The 7z's corrupted. I was able to extract Gens 2.14 (+1) and Sonic CD++ (E) (already had it), but after that, 7z indicated a data error. Can you reupload it? (Also, which version of 7-zip did you use?)
All I had were a few disassemblies which no doubt were already replaced. By the way, on the topic of backups, I can perform a monthly backup (end of each month!) onto my subversion server, which could sufficiently lower the size of backups by only backing up what's changed. I can afford an extra hard drive for it no bother.
OK. I took out Sonic CD++, because it was already posted and took 2/3 of the size. This new package is an uncompressed zip file. I included an SFV inside the zip for the individual files, as well as the zip CRC in the file name. I use 7-Zip version 4.65, the latest. h266_retrofix [694C578A].zip (24.83 MB)
3 new files: SMCDM.rar -> Sonic_for_MegaCD_Music.rar Sonic in Chaotix.zip -> Sonic_in_Chaotix.zip Sonik_Sprite_v1.5.7z -> Sonik_Sprite_v1.5.7z The rest already existed. Thanks for the extra 3 files, though.
I split out all the bullshit from this topic. If anyone really wants to continue arguing a problem that's been solved, go here: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=17128
Normally I would think about posting, then clam up and let everyone else deal with it figuring they'd do better anyhow, but RetroFix seemed to actually find a few files, so I feel it's my duty as a member, posting any or not, to at least report and show what was found in case any of it helps. RetroMissing.rar as hosted on Mediafire. Contains: sonic_the_hedgehog_lost_worlds.zip sng_tails_tiny.png rivals_silver02.png rivals_silver_small.png Mghz[1].png (Mecha Green Hill Zone image) It seems to mostly consist of some CG art I thought I took from another site, that I had taken to make a few cheap wallpapers for someone, at least it got that Mecha Green Hill Zone picture and the Lost Worlds zip. Hope it helps a little, at least!
Hey. Apart from the 25 or so images I already found on my PC, two hard drives and two backup DVDs, I am in the process of scanning my secondary laptop. It's somehow pretty brokey (Touchpad keys don't work right, windows takes five minutes to boot) and retrofix locked up when scanning some IE directory. I'm telling you, this program is a good virus scanner, it found five files and while accessing them AntiVir went alarm. So thanks for that. I think that's the reason it crashed too. So I just deleted those folders and I'm trying again. MATCH.log already had a few files.
I downloaded many of the prototype roms from the Wiki. I don't know which are there and which are missing. They are on my PC in college. I will be going back to school on the 29th. I can upload those roms if needed.
http://mitglied.lycos.de/ergi/Neu%20WinRAR-Archiv.rar Moar images. These are the only ones I could get from my laptop, as it was being a bitch... Hope they're new?
All files matched, but this one was new. All 8 images in this archive were new. (6 of them are "archive" images, which were replaced by newer images. If those newer images can't be found, we can revert to the archived ones later.) No, I didn't download anything from the wiki, and I mean, anything. However, I did find the Golden Axe cover on wikipedia. It is not the 2500x1560 of GoldenAxe_md_eu_cover.jpg, but until a bigger, or higher quality scan is made, this will have to do. I've also got Columns downloaded, so I can get a title screen for you for the Columns_title.jpg. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2...xe_Coverart.png chuchu-box-eu.jpg http://www.ocremix.org/files/images/games/...er-front-eu.jpg Chuchu_dc_jp_frount_cover.jpg http://www.ocremix.org/files/images/games/...er-front-jp.jpg Crazytaxi_dc_us_frount_cover.jpg http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/lar...86207175-00.jpg Crazytaxi_dc_us_disc.jpg http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/lar...90550223-00.jpg Crazytaxi_de_eu_disc.jpg http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/lar...86413376-00.jpg Crazytaxi_ps2_us_disc.jpg http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/lar...20685834-00.jpg Crazytaxi_ps2_eu_disc.jpg http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/lar...79185727-00.jpg Game_gear_commercial_(Japan).flv http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH-WM3pIxDg Game_gear_Squirrel_commerical.flv http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBLr4wbiR6E Game_gear_Spinach_commercial.flv http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dw3iYlDCos These are from outside sources, only use them when absoblutely nothing else can be found. Also, for the Michael Jackson mp3s, god rest his soul, those of Smooth Criminal ans Who Is It, do you want them in full?
None of these files matched exactly, so I didn't add them manually. However, wiki uploading is enabled now, so you can upload them yourself.
GerbilSoft, Have you tried scanning through the images that are on Sonic-CulT? I know there are several that I remember seeing on CulT that were wikified into articles.
I did check Sonic CulT a few weeks ago, and found lots of matches. There's probably images on CulT that don't match exactly due to various image optimizations, though.
Five new files found: Wacky Workbench (Present).png -> Wwpresent.png Sonic_&_Knuckles_title[1].png -> Sonic_&_Knuckles_title.png Question[1].png -> Question.png LabyrinthDS[1].png -> LabyrinthDS.PNG Newdash[1].png -> 20081128110935!Newdash.png One file found that were replaced: (this is an archive file now) Spring Yard.png -> Springyard.png Thanks.
I should have done this like a million years ago - I'm scanning my backup drive with your tool. Holy crap it's finding stuff. This is going to be "fun" to upload... it's all scattered around various directories. Is there some sort of program that can batch copy files given an arbitrary list of file paths and a single destination folder, or batch upload files via FTP with an arbitrary list of file paths to a single directory on an FTP server? It will make things a lot less hairy for me to upload the stuff if there is.
