I scanned my drive and found one result, it's in the cache for firefox. I don't save my internet history so I'm not suprised I found nothing.
I've been browsing my computer for nearly 2 hours and only 4 results? D: However, here they are: http://rapidshare.com/files/266322785/Retr...iFiles.rar.html (Sorry, had to use Rapidshare because my FTP program was dead and downloading a new one would've taken more than uploading these files to RS.)
Depends, what browser do you use? I've saved scans of a lot of sonic games, that was one in particular that was missing.

"Error: Could not open retrofix.dat" I'm running Windows 7, so I'm guessing that's why. The EXE also won't work when I double-click it, I have to open it in a command window.
It automatically closes because it errors out immediately. Make sure you extracted the retrofix.dat file from the archive. It has to be in the same directory as the EXE. You can get the latest retrofix.dat at http://www.soniccenter.org/gerbilsoft/retrofix/retrofix.dat .
Note for Windows 7/Vista users...if you put it in C:/ , be sure to run it as administrator so it can create the match.log file in that directory. Otherwise it'll scan your whole drive and not save anything.
I've contributed with 6 restored files. I might have more, but I don't know. I thought I downloaded a lot from the wiki.
ok, it was going through my Source files and everything, how do I know it's not secretly sending them to someone? lol, but anyways, sorry, it found nothing: Search completed. 0 matching files found.
ALRIGHT. Just compiled it on my linux box and scanned my home folder. Aside from minor issues (see below), it does, in fact, work. I found two files, and have added them with the other three I found earlier. All five can be found and downloaded from: http://www.brugenhagen.com/retro/ Feel free to re-download them as often as necessary to fix things. I will note that only two of those are actual images, the other three are files. DANGER CAUTION ALERT MAJOR BUG ON LINUX: It might just be my system, but if you are scanning a directory, and you have a symbolic link inside it to a higher directory, it jumps to the higher directory and starts scanning it. Meaning that when it reaches the same directory that it reached before, it'll jump back up and be caught in an infinite loop. PROPOSED SOLUTIONS: Edit program so it ignores symbolic links Remove all symbolic links from directories to be checked. Either solution works.
I incorrectly used stat() instead of lstat(). I'll release another version tomorrow, which will also support Unicode on Windows.
Retrofix found 8 files in my hardrive: First Zip: imagenesis4000beta.zip S1_z80_dasm.rar gens-gs-r7_pre2.png patch-2.5.9-7-bin.zip Fusion351.zip 906kn8.jpg (Saved a tutorial forum post, saved all the pictures just in case) Second Zip: s2sms-disasm.zip Sonic_1_GBA.rar I could have just got One zip, but my internet is so sloooooooooow today. Click Here. I will have the second one uploaded soon. I have uploaded the second part now.
First ZIP: 906kn8.jpg -> Levelguide-boxes.jpg patch-2.5.9-7-bin.zip -> Patch_2.5.9.zip The other files were already recovered. (The other files in the topic directory didn't match.) EDIT: Second ZIP: Both files matched. (Sonic_1_GBA.rar and s2sms-disasm.rar) f_0000b4.png -> Simon_Jeffrey.jpg The other two files were already recovered.
Quick scan of my emulation folder found these two files: Code (Text): SCDPP_(U).7z Sonic Spinball (Prototype 0328 - Mar 28, 1994, 06.54).rar Download link: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?amlz35nqint As far as I know, they're both readily available elsewhere, but I posted them just in case. Scanning My Pictures right now, and I'll do full drive scans overnight. EDIT: I got three hits from, of all places, the Disgaea artbook... Possibly false positives? Code (Text): win_08.jpg win_19.jpg win_37.jpg http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mmlz5z11lzy
The first two files you posted were already recovered. These files, however, were more interesting: win_08.jpg: Test.jpg (File:Test.jpg) 20080801234413!Test.jpg 20080801234432!Test.jpg 20080801234502!Test.jpg 20080801234730!Test.jpg 20080801234732!Test.jpg 20080801234734!Test.jpg 20080801234737!Test.jpg 20080801234750!Test.jpg 20080801234855!Test.jpg 20080801235216!Test.jpg 20080801235232!Test.jpg 20080801235256!Test.jpg 20080802000828!Test.jpg win_19.jpg: 20080801233719!Test.jpg 20080801234108!Test.jpg 20080801234257!Test.jpg win_37.jpg: 20080725203718!Test.jpg 20080801233549!Test.jpg Looks like they're all test images used by Xkeeper. :P
After running the program as administrator, here's what I get: Then it started scanning after waiting for a while.
