I scanned my drive and found one result, it's in the cache for firefox. I don't save my internet history so I'm not suprised I found nothing.

I've been browsing my computer for nearly 2 hours and only 4 results? D:

However, here they are: <a href="http://rapidshare.com/files/266322785/RetroWikiFiles.rar.html" target="_blank">http://rapidshare.com/files/266322785/Retr...iFiles.rar.html</a> (Sorry, had to use Rapidshare because my FTP program was dead and downloading a new one would've taken more than uploading these files to RS.)

I'm not really expecting anything on my C drive that wasn't on my F drive, but I'm scanning it anyway.

How do I go about getting the file from my browser's cache? I might have some of those pictures from Sonic 1's development, such as the one with the bee Robotnik, Madonna, and Mr. Needlemouse.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Depends, what browser do you use?

You saved the scan of my box of Chaotix? ahahahahaha

Though I've already sent an archive of about 500 scans to Gerbil I knew were missing, I'm running this tool on my HDDs now to see what else comes up. I'll let you know what I find.
    <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I've saved scans of a lot of sonic games, that was one in particular that was missing. ;)

It automatically closes because it errors out immediately.

Make sure you extracted the retrofix.dat file from the archive. It has to be in the same directory as the EXE. You can get the latest retrofix.dat at <a href="http://www.soniccenter.org/gerbilsoft/retrofix/retrofix.dat" target="_blank">http://www.soniccenter.org/gerbilsoft/retrofix/retrofix.dat</a> .

Oh yes, it's all in the same directory (<b>G:/</b> in this case, my main hard drive).

Note for Windows 7/Vista users...if you put it in C:/ , be sure to run it as administrator so it can create the match.log file in that directory. Otherwise it'll scan your whole drive and not save anything.

    Nothing
ALRIGHT. Just compiled it on my linux box and scanned my home folder. Aside from minor issues (see below), it does, in fact, work. I found two files, and have added them with the other three I found earlier. All five can be found and downloaded from:
    <a href="http://www.brugenhagen.com/retro/" target="_blank">http://www.brugenhagen.com/retro/</a>

Feel free to re-download them as often as necessary to fix things. I will note that only two of those are actual images, the other three are files.

DANGER CAUTION ALERT MAJOR BUG ON LINUX:
It might just be my system, but if you are scanning a directory, and you have a symbolic link inside it to a higher directory, it jumps to the higher directory and starts scanning it. Meaning that when it reaches the same directory that it reached before, it'll jump back up and be caught in an infinite loop.
    PROPOSED SOLUTIONS:
Edit program so it ignores symbolic links
Remove all symbolic links from directories to be checked.

    Either solution works.

I incorrectly used stat() instead of lstat(). I'll release another version tomorrow, which will also support Unicode on Windows.

Quick scan of my emulation folder found these two files:

    Code (Text):
    1. SCDPP_(U).7z
    2. Sonic Spinball (Prototype 0328 - Mar 28, 1994, 06.54).rar
    Download link: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?amlz35nqint" target="_blank">http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?amlz35nqint</a>

As far as I know, they're both readily available elsewhere, but I posted them just in case. Scanning My Pictures right now, and I'll do full drive scans overnight.

EDIT: I got three hits from, of all places, the Disgaea artbook... :psyduck: Possibly false positives?
