    First of all, Sonic Rush is almost equal to Sonic 3 & Knuckles in its zone concepts.

    Mushroom Hill -> Leaf Storm
    Hydrocity -> Water Palace
    Sandopolis -> Mirage Road
    Carnival Night -> Night Carnival
    Flying Battery -> Huge Crisis
    Launch Base -> Altitude Limit
    Death Egg -> Dead Line

    Second of all, Sonic Rush has some...references that people like .hack//zero might like. =P

    Mirage Road - "CHUCKA CHUCKA WEED CHUCKA MASTURBATE"
    Bomber Barbara - As Fiz said, the name sounds like a porn star.
    Jeh Jeh Rocket - Jehjehing at someone's rocket. O_o
    Get Edgy - It says "Come get me" over and over again.
    Right There, Ride On - See title.
    Back 2 Back - See title.

    Or it could be because its one of the only Sonic games to make the series 2D gameplay evolve in a good way.

    And Mirage road always sounded like "Taco Taco meat meat smack ah mah meat! uh!" Notice how all the songs seem to sound like a porn scene: "Right there, ride on"? "back to back"? "You don't stop but you proceed, cuz this is what you need?" Tis pron propaganda! For shame Hideki, trying to corrupt the Nation's youth :P

    EDIT: Oh, and its a little thing called Cliche. Something the Sonic games have employed since the beggining. Quite frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Nothing that concerns this place in the least.
    I'm sorry, but I see no resemblance in these two levels, whatsoever. Sure, they're both green, grassy levels, but with major differences. Mushroom Hill had objects, like bouncey mushrooms, those pulley machine things, and other stuff. I thought Leaf Storm was more like Angel Island, mainly because it has something you could swing on, and those areas where you could go inside of a tree.

    Launch Base Zone wasn't in the sky, like Altitude Limit was. I'd say the Altitude Limit was more like the Wing Fortress Zone from Sonic 2, the Sky High Zone in Sonic 2 Game Gear, and the Special Stages in Sonic Triple Trouble, mainly because of the hang-glider.

    I think Huge Crisis represents Ocean Base in Sonic Advance 3 rather than Flying Battery. Flying Battery and Sky Sanctuary would be easier compared to Altitude Limit. As in Sonics story, you have a sky levele and then a space colony level. =P And Launch Base is my favorite Zone, and to my disapointment, not a trace of Launch Base is in Sonic Rush. And I see Leaf Stormbeing Angel Island or Wood Zone rather than Mushroom Hill. Mirage Roads music was called Ethno Circus for another thing. =P

    why Sonic Rush was good: It was like the sonic advance games only good, the bonus round was possible to get to and do (unlike sonic advance 1-3), it had multiple stories

    why Sonic Rush was bad: tails is annoying, bad vocals in the songs, if you go up you move to the top screen

    I liked it, even though I played only one or two levels.

    Corrected in quote. The SAdv1 special stages were in no way hard to get to.

    On the other hand, SAdv2's are suicidal and I said "Screw it, I'm using an FAQ" for SAdv3.
