1st things 1st, the HPZ code in STH2&K can only (Pretty much) be done with Hex editing. 2nd it does freeze after a while in the level, which sucks.

 

Wait. Are you talking about that gamegeinie code that lets you play Hidden Palace (with no graphics) in the final version of Sonic 2. Becuase if you are, I have a savestate (I THINK) of that with Knuckles in the S2&K ROM.

I did it AGES ago. And it only freezes after a certain X coordinate, approximately one or two screens beyond the emerald's location. Of course, while some of us might speculate as usual that there's something super special about all this, let's remember that the emerald has been debunked as merely a breakable block...
