So I recently came across this while browsing the Web: That font instantly struck me as familiar, as it's the same one used in Sonic Adventure's subtitles. I tried using WhatTheFont.com, but it didn't give me anything useful. Does anyone know what font this is?
Since this topic still shows up on google when searching for Sonic Adventure cutscene font, I think it's worth a bump with the correct info (and some background info) for posterity. Sorry, mods. It's for a good cause. Filmotype Prima was the original one. (1955) http://www.identifont.com/show?2RP9 Benguiat Frisky was inspired by it and was released 5 years later (1960) http://www.identifont.com/show?4AZ The one Sonic Adventure uses is Impress, released in 1983. http://www.identifont.com/show?24Y Impress is a very slight update to Filmotype Prima, with rounded corners and a more upright feel. Even with the low res, you can tell it's Impress as that's the only one with a slightly concave shape on E's vertical stroke.
