What did Tails do while Sonic was on Wing Fortress Zone?

I want to imagine that Tails took advantage of the abundant Balkiry Badniks somehow. Maybe he used them to make his descent safer?

Imagine if he just strapped a bunch of those suckers to the plane to get back to Wing Fortress.

 

This is all speculation based on the developers' ideas written above, but, it's exciting to consider!!

it could have been some of the bird civilization (anthropomorphic ones), Flickies, or foxes ?? Or both if we consider the Super Flickies who appear with Super Tails.

But it also could have been the Master Emerald somehow, as the biplane itself is required to rescue the Master Emerald in the very near future, as well as helping Tails and Sonic reach the island in time in the first place!!

 

I don't think you're meant to take the "magically" in the sentence literally, it moreso means "suddenly the plane looks entirely different despite that coming out of nowhere"

As for thread question, I always liked to imagine, that while Tails was falling- there was a something like level from "After Burner" games, and Tails flies with epic bg music, dodging from several badniks and maybe shooting.. I guess it would be funny, if it was possible, hehe..
