Welcome back! We've got our shiny new OS install and HDD's in place, and everything seems to be working perfectly. Repo and Scans should be back over the weekend. If you find any bugs around the site, please report them here.

Screw you, I tend to have a tab with a large history on Retro, and I don't want to have to close that just so I don't have to endure the "NO WAY! NO WAY?" music endlessly. Embedding music in a webpage with no means of turning it off is terrible web design. Plain and simple. Ha ha, very funny. Maybe I don't want to block it on the chance it'll show up somewhere else? Except, y'know, I'll encounter it in a context where it isn't on friggin' autoplay.
Having some issues creating content and uploading scans in Sega Retro. Issues as in, it won't let me create content or upload scans.
Ta. :> Deal with it. It's a spoof on something else, the status messages don't take that long to read, and the page itself wasn't auto-refresh anyway.
I tried holding ABC and pressing start on the maintenance screen, but there were no blue spheres to be had.
Second'd, I'm quite glad to see this site back up and in good shape. ^^ Darn it! You beat me to saying that. XD Pretty much this. I honestly found the message screen hilarious to see whenever I'd click my bookmark to check on the updates! Retro was down for pretty much the whole day yesterday, so I didn't see a point in keeping a tab open for it, when I'd think to only check it every once in a while anyway.
Human zoom thread? Human zoom thread! So was this site update just for the benefit of behind-the-scene processes, or are we going to notice any significant differences in forum performance?
....turn down your speaker volume? Hell, why WOULD you want to turn off that music? It's such an upbeat song. Kinda makes ya wanna dance. ^.^
On my computer, you can set the headphone jack to be independent of the speakers (some weird feature of VIA onboard sound OEM drivers). In most Windows 7 computers you take advantage of exclusive mode which prevents anything else from interfering with your tunes. You could redirect a to different sound card by setting a default and have a program you're using the other device. I say foobar2000 with WASPI plug-in and the ability to switch output devices definitely rocks. Give it a try.
