Technically both. Coconuts and the badnik horde showed up a couple issues prior in a fairly pointless backup story dredged up from their vault of unused scripts. Then all of them showed up working at Casino Night as seen above. They also showed up a few times way, way back in the early run of the comic when it was much sillier and AoStH was still relevant.

Don't think so. They only had those designs for a short return in #153 and 154, and the art style doesn't match anything Archie has ever done.

 

At the risk of ridicule, I voted for Sally.

I always viewed her as one of the better characters in SatAM. That and I hate Pen Kender's guts, because he managed to fuck up her character enough to convince Sega to never include her in a game. Instead we got Amy, who's voice and personality have made me want to claw out my eyes and eardrums since her 1999 incarnation, as our female lead.

I mean, hell.. SegaWorld Australia was selling merchandise with Sonic, Tails, and SALLY on it for ages before they closed down. I honestly felt she would've worked very well in the games.

Then again, Sonic Team tends lack sense in terms of introducing new characters.. judging from walking abortions like Elise and Silver.

 

You know if Nack wins they will just do a shadow the hedgehog with him and fuck up the character completely, you have been warned.

If I felt the need to make a facebook account, I'd vote Fang. (I hate the name Nack) I liked his design and personality in the few games he was in.
I don't really get all the Mighty love either. He's cool yes, but he played exactly like Sonic would if he was in Knuckles Chaotix. Though I wouldn't mind if Mighty and Ray showed up as a cameo in a future game. I just doubt this is any more than a popularity contest.

 

If I had a facebook account, I would vote for Metal Knuckles. If Nack wins (probably) I'll be glad anyways.

 

The thing that concerns me is whether they'd screw up the character chosen. I mean many people think the Chaotix in Sonic Heroes took a turn for the worse, how do you think it would be now when there's talking swords and werehogs afoot


as great as it would be to see Mighty or Nack or whatever in a game, I think we'd be safer picking ones that don't talk at least. Granted, none of them should really talk but I don't trust Sonic Team anymore

Heavy and Bomb would be a George & Junior rip off.

Srsly, I voted for Metal Knuckles. Missiles being shot out of a c**k in 3D? How could that not be a step in the right direction?

 

Am I the only one who doesn't know who the hell any of those characters are? I want a game with Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Dr. Robotnik only, because that's how I remember Sonic. :p I guess I'm not much of a Sonic fan, only playing a handful of the games.

 

I played only the Mega Drive and Game Gear games, Sonic R and Sonic Heroes. That means that I have no idea who the heck is Bark, Chaos, Bean, Gamma, Heavy & Bomb and Tikal.

 

Nack wins for me. I also like Mighty or Ray to return.

 

Toasty, I could bore you with the origin of each character, but... I've got better things to do. xD;

I was crossed over to the darkside to the influence of someone I know away from the community to vote for Mighty because, due to the already copious amounts of Sonic clones, they'd have to do something different with the character, 'surely?' as they put it.

But my heart is forever with Fang/Nack.

Though this is mostly because the Sonic and the MUGEN fans inside made me squee when I played the second of the Sonic fangames and had to fight Nack with Emerald Powah~ so whatever that says about me...lol

 

Damn, I remain astonished that Phantasy Star II is only a few days older than I am going by original release date.


I'm also quite sure that Sega would be smart enough to, should they bring back Tails Doll, not give him a voice. After all, they could do those silent shorts in Unleashed, and Night of the Werehog as well.

Nack honestly requires what most would probably consider an annoying voice as part of his character if anyone in the game is going to get voices at all. Specifically the 20s-era NY mob/gangster accent.
