    I am attempting to set-up a TinyXP Virtual Machine in Debian for the few pieces of software I cannot get running in Wine.

    I have created an empty VirtualBox machine configured for XP, but when I attempt to start it, I get the following error:

    Code (Text):
    1. Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows
    2. The virtual machine 'Windows' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1.
    3.
    4. Details:
    5. Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
    6. Component: Machine
    7. Interface: IMachine {662c175e-a69d-40b8-a77a-1d719d0ab062}
    Also, as part of a summer intern with my College's Computer Department, I have been asked to set-up a Ubuntu 10.04 Virtual Machine under Windows 7 using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. This Ubuntu VM works fine for the most part, but streaming videos(such as YouTube and NASA's video gallery) cause the VM to crash with Internal Error (13) forcing the VM to reset. An older VM using Ubuntu 8.04 does not have same problem. Neither my supervisor or Google searches have provided any useful information in resolving this issue.

    Any help on resolving the issue with either virtual machine would be appreciated.
