The pronunciation of both words sound extremely similar, but like I said, it's literally right there in the trailer. If it was supposed to be "Possibilities", then that would be the title instead. Functionally the meaning is the same, I'm just surprised how many people missed that fact is all. I watched that religiously when it came out, so I noticed all of the details.
It's unfortunate how cliché that sounds. Sonic Battle hardly paints a great picture of him. In Heroes, he was such a lovable goofball. There they went beyond that archetype.
The name of the song briefly written off to the side in a trailer from 15 years ago? Funny that people don't remember that. Yeah, but he doesn't say "endless possibility". I think I'd chalk it up more to the fact that "endless possibilities" simply sounds more natural.
To me, Shadow's at his best when he let's himself be a bit vulnerable. Obviously not to the extent where he just let's anyone in, but to the select few that manage to look past his prickly exterior. He's hard to get along with, but that doesn't make him heartless. I find that writers seem to struggle between his his compassionate and obstinate sides. Kind of like how they struggled with balancing Knuckles being stupid versus him simply being naive until recently.
Got to agree with this. There's a big difference between being naive, sheltered and gullible and just plain stupid. If Knuckles was actually stupid, then he would've stayed on Dr Robotnik's side after learning the truth.
I wonder what's his vulnerability though? The plush that I bought at Gamescom last year had this description of him: "Full Name: Shadow the Hedgehog Short Name: Shadow Height: 100cm/3,3ft Weight: 35 kg/ 77lbs Age: Unknown Shadow is a black hedgehog and the spitting image of Sonic. He was the "Ultimate Life Form" created by the genius scientist Professor Gerald, grandfather of Dr. Eggman. Shadow's special power is "Chaos Control", where he uses the Chaos Emerald to warp time and space. He is a bit of a greenhorn, which makes him go to dangerous lengths to get what he wants." I get that last sentence, but it shouldn't be all there is to him. Technically he should have plenty of experience by now to know how to get himself right. Shadow, if you say you're the coolest, then be the coolest.
It has been called "Endless Possibility" in every official release, from Planetary Pieces, Sonic Generations to the Symphony digital OST. Kind of hard to miss unless you're sticking to fan/youtube rips. Talking about soundtracks, I always felt SA2's soundtrack was weaker compared to the one in SA1, but I think Heroes' soundtrack is even weaker. The vocal songs are okay, but the level music is kind of forgettable in my opinion. I think the only level tracks that only sort of interests me are Sea Gate and Rail Canyon.
The palettes in Mania's Encore Mode range from "it's OK" to vomit inducing and it's shocking to me that to this day there is no way to play the encore mode with original palettes (whether through hacks or using a cheat code)
How do I piss as many people off at the same time… Sonic lost world is great Chaotix is fun once you master the rubber band and nobody seems to actually know how to use it. Sonic 4 brain rot is real, the game isn’t that bad guys. People hear the sonic 1 snare and all senses become numbed with a seething rage of anger and nonsense. Shadow should’ve stayed dead. Colors isn’t the crown jewel of the franchise. Heroes sucks. Secret rings and black knight control terribly. Lastly advance 2 and 3 collectively are designed like trash, being worse than sonic 4. Alright I think I did a good job with this did I miss anything?
All the games you like are just soulless nostalgia pandering, and the only reason you think you like them is because they appeal to your nostalgia. Fortunately I'm immune to such things, so when I like a game, that just means Sonic is finally being true to itself and returning to form.
The joke here is that this can refer to any game in the series I got one; the characters were a lot more interesting when they were allowed to act more over the top, but since Sonic fans hate fun, everyone is just sanitized and boring nowadays so as to not upset anyone.
Nostalgia is a perfectly valid reason to like and defend a game. Few things in this world are able to bring magic to life. If a game is capable of doing that to millions thrugh nostalgia, that's more reason to praise it, not less. Objectivism will kill you all.
Ah, so Colors cutscenes! No, wait, Shadow cutscenes! Uh, Adventure cutscenes? '90s 'tude! Chaos Sonic. Although going back to late '80s, early '90s game characters, leading man attitudes in adaptations were just like Sonic! Mario, Link, Earthworm Jim I think? Even new movie Mario now!
Unpopular opinion: Kids are fucking idiots and anything that's not for literal toddlers should stop pandering to them.
