A person at another board posted this tid bit about Genocide City, and I can't tell you if its true or not, yet, but... Apparently GCZ's boss was supposed to be something that fit well with the name of the level. The boss is said to have a picture of a burning hedgehog skeleton painted on it *shudders*. Apparently, that's all the person knows bout it, but I'll tell you if I can confirm his source is true(that is, when he tells me his souce)
A burning Hedgehog skeleton? That sounds like bullcrap to me. The person that made that up is a complete idiot if you ask me. EDIT 200 posts! W00t!
here's what I wrote: I wanted to know where you got the info from and can you give me a link location if on the net or a scan? Just need a lil proof =~.^= here's what he wrote back: I got the info from a freinds comp and from the offical Sonic advance 2 hand guide. for my freind is an avid Sonic fan and im a mediorcer fan. ill ask him for you ok?
Wow... out of total fluke I have Prima's Sonic 2 Advance guide, laughably I don't even have the game, I just picked up the guide from the store Game for an amazing 99p (yep, here I am in the UK), mostly because it was an amazing price, but maybe I'll find the money to get a GBA or SP or something one day... ok, enough rambling. I was totally sceptic about this too, heh, I only just came across the ROM an hour ago... but I felt like flicking through the guide just in case, 'cause I knew there's some info on older games, and various trivia too. Check out this "Fast Facts" box on page 99: Scanned and dumped in my webspace. I guess since none of you here have ever seen me before you might accuse me of faking it, but oh well, I guess I wouldn't blame you. But as you can see, it does mention a "nixed" "boss" "that featured a hedgehog with a flaming skull", and goes on to mention "skeleton", so there really is some mention of it in the official Sonic Advance 2 Guide. I'm not 100% convinced that every last thing in the book is accurate, especially since I haven't even played any of the game to compare the guide with ;P , but there's an interview with the Sonic Team in the front (and then there's what it says below what I highlighted...), so maybe it is accurate. Obviously the massive problem with the original claim is the nowhere in the sentence is Sonic 2 mentioned, which sucks, it's not like Sonic games are a rare sight... but hey, if there really is other info maybe... if not it may still be worth a thought IMO. Well, that was interesting for me, anyway. Still it sounds highly unlikely, but it does appear to me the claims weren't totally baseless after all. Anyway, it's nearly 5am over here now, I'm gonna try and stop playing the ROM now, hehe
That's a heap 'o' bullcrud. Well, I'm pretty sure that Japanese Sonic 1 and the Macy's parade thingy was true, but a flaming hedgehog skeleton? I mean, just look at th other "facts"! Knuckles? With a Jamaican accent? Come on!!!!!!! I mean, who are you trusting? These are the kinds of people that probably say "Hyper Shadow" and make people go off on a wild tangent when it's really "Super Shadow" (provided that SEGA or Sonic Team lost their brains and put Hyper Shadow on their website...)!!!!
That sounds like something you would see in a Castlevania game. (Hedgehog Skeleton would be replaced with a human skeleton though.) I highly doubt it.(Some of those facts are downright insane) All of Sonic 2`s Bosses(with the exception of the last 3) basically have Eggman riding in his hovercraft with some stupid weapon attached to it.(EHZ`s boss poses less of a threat then GHZ`s boss from Sonic 1) Unless Eggman was controlling the painting with a remote control, that boss doesn`t seem to fit in Sonic 2. Not to mention all the bosses are mechanical. Genocide City`s boss probably involved Eggman in one of his stupid hovercraft upgrades.
Well there some proof that guy wasn't lying, but still not enough to convince me that is Genocide City Zone boss.
my brother sent a new pic of Genocide City Zone through email, then I saved the pic to microsoft word, how do I show you guys the pic? sorry I am new here, well my email address is [email protected] if you have any suggestions about how I get my pic on here
