Everytime I hear that Dynamiit video on TV, I always feel like it's from Sonic & Sega all star racing. It's sooo similar. At first I thought they ripped it from Sonic and put it into the energy juice video, but it's still tiny bit different. But the "sounding" is very 1:1

 

This is probably well known already, but I just noticed it and it blew my mind.

xD I've always thought of the Mission Impossible theme every time I listened to Chaos ver. 6. BTW that's my favorite theme of Chaos too. :3

 

I only post once a year, but this one's been bugging me for ages, and I don't know if anyone's posted it.

We all know Ristar's level 5-2, but here it is for reference.

The point I'm talking about is at 00:39, although, really, there is a good amount of resemblance in the rhythm and the bass to this song;

If you match the section of the Ristar song up to 1:35 in this song, the chords are quite similar, although the chords in the Soul II Soul song are more diverse throughout the rest of the song. After that breakdown at 1:35, Soul II Soul's song conforms much closer to the chords in the Ristar song.

Since this kind of music was pretty popular at the time, I can see why the composers/arrangers in Ristar may have drawn inspiration from this song. [/longwinded worthless conjecture]

 

Kinda off topic, but I found a drum machine that was used on Sonic CD US. I believe one machine they used was the Yamaha RY30. I found a collection of loops from a sample cd I have and this was one of them.

I got this one from the Ueberschall Techno Identity Developer Kit cd. It was probably a preset loop or something from the drum machine. Not sure though.

This comparison may have been made here already, but Stardust Speedway and this song from Goemon 64 sound too damn similar.

Janet Jackson: Together Again

BUT WAIT!

Together Again and Bridge Zone both sound quite a bit like Tails' theme from SA: Believe in Myself.

It's not as close of a matchup as Smooth Criminal or Who Is It and Icecap Act 1, but there is some resemblance.
