Alex_hedgefox2 posted on Twitter documents some documents between Sega and DiC.

But the thing is that it looks like what stopped the show (or at least put a pause) was DiC selling animation cels of satam without SEGA's knowledge.

This probably explains why AoStH cels were on sale as recently as only a few years ago.

This makes me wonder if that M rated audio version of Shadow the Hedgehog really did exist for a brief moment in time before being scrapped. I originally thought the story might have been misremembered but if they have Knuckles saying "shit" then the sky is the limit.

I’ve always wondered what I like about the old Knuckles voice… and I now understand. Damn, I really miss these guys. As much as I like Jason as Sonic, Ryan will always be Sonic The Hedgehog.

Chris Hernandez, the associate lore manager for the Sonic series, shared one of the props he got from the set of Sonic 3, a can of Chaos Cola. And showed the nutrition facts on it on Twitter.

It's basically vitamin water, rather than an actual cola. How healthy.

Like a deer who catches a whiff of the smelly smells that smells smelly, this reminded me of something.
While we don't have it listed on the wiki (yet), Sonic Sports Basketball did get released in Japan.
I know this because a highly-irradiated version was found in the ruins of Sega World Tomioka; the one Sega World that got abandoned and then torn down because Fukushima's reactors imploded 14 years ago.

^ The thing about this is that there can be two definitions of "released in Japan" - a wide, proper release to all locations, or only pushed to Sega's own in a limited capacity. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Arcade, for example, was exclusively installed at Tokyo Joypolis during the 2010s over there.

Outside of it too being at Joypolis for a while, the only other evidence of Sonic Sports Basketball in Japan that I can find is this official post, which informs us that it was also at Sega Shinjuku Kabukicho and Sega Yokohama Chuukagai - which would've similarly been tourist-heavy places.

were Sega anticipating 'dark tourists' by also placing it at the one in Fukushima?

Nice! Doing this made me realize... I should look at the other websites at the time and see if they added them! And duh, IGN had them!
