The source is an official Sonic stream from today.
Some Sonic Adventure 2 demo tracks were also shared, if my understanding is correct.
It's been hours, why hasn't anyone posted these yet? Jesus, these forums sometimes, I swear.
You are part of these forums, too?
Obvious response is obvious, but look at my post count. I'm not active here. Other people are much more so, so whenever there is something newsworthy pertaining to Sonic I usually swing by to see what the cool kids at Sonic Retro have to say about it...
...And this time I ain't found nothin'!
Incredible. Just wish they weren't talking over them.
Some of us do this thing called "sleep".
... I want this game.
Awhile back Jun tweeted a photo of a few demo casette tapes, maybe that's what we're having here? Anyway, I had no idea that the Twitch gang got their hands on new beta tracks and also wasn't expecting being able to listen to them so soon. So thank you for posting this.
There's this Tuber, ClassicSonicSatAm, that regularly pumps out mods for SA1, especially with JAM Sonic and such.
So, has anyone made straight MP3s of these tracks yet, or...?
lasts a week:
In the stream the team said they plan on posting the concept art to their social media channels. I presume they'll do the same for the music.
That'd be nice, but thanks for those links anyway =P
Yes, I would like for the scans to be on the Retro wiki please.
The first image with the classic Sonic models was first shown in the 2016 Sonic Adventure Music Experience event. Two pictures were taken at the event.
The first one seems to have not been a part of the batch shown on the recent stream:
It makes me wonder if there's even more than this that hasn't been revealed.
The second one taken is the one that was shown on the stream:
I can't tell you how excited I am to finally see the actual version of the image above after all these years. It feels like looking at an alternate universe Sonic where the classic designs were retained.
To give credit where it's due (also because it seems as time passes it will get lost) according to posts here on Sonic Retro and on Stadium the one who took the pictures were
@namineahtellai who now goes by TheEmuEmi, which is a name that might be more familiar to some.
Lastly, the two images are also on the current version of the development page of Sonic Adventure (last updated June 11 2020). I think someone should put the new images on there.
Man, I’d really like to play that Saturn Sonic Adventure ! I know these are concept art pieces and all, but If Sega were to release something stylized like that. Would be amazing! But if they released it for Saturn, that’d be a dream come true! But yeah only in dreams right?
Considering even the Dreamcast struggled with the physics they were trying to use...no, I'll pass.
Way to shoot down someone’s dream ...
I'm...allowed to disagree with someone's dream, you know...
