As for that article, the sheer amount of content five episodes would provide has me doubting the validity of said article's info. There's no way SEGA's going to make a 2D Sonic game that's at least 60 acts long.

 

I haven't been able to see the video yet, but this certainly looks like SEGA listened to feedback made and got Dimps to fix it.

As for 5 episodes, I'd rather not go that way. However, what they could've done is have more than 4 full zones in the game, I'd settle for at least 5 or 6. I'd like this game to be finished by the end of 2010, I don't want to wait 16 years for Sonic 5 you know. =P

 

5 episodes? Woah. It sounds duable, because they won't have to reinvent the engine (hurr they didn't either Sonic Rush engine whatever) and can focus on actual content. Telltale are able to do it, why should Sega so much worse?

Maybe I'm being to optimistic here, but doesn't that give them enough time to get over the "shiney new game" factor by then, and focus on making some original content for later episodes?

 

¿5 episodes? I hope they will release a retail disc with all the episodes in one disk... Although I will buy the first episode anyway at least to see how it is ...

If they're aiming for 5 Episodes, we probably will see some newer content along the way. I doubt even they think they can keep a "Best Of" nostalgia theme going for five whole episodes.

EDIT: Although Iizuka only mentioned three episodes as far as what they have "planned out."

What do you mean, it looks like they fixed it? It doesn't look different at all, it just looks like a different person's playing it. =/

Besides, what information do we have regarding how up-to-date the PartnerNET build is or was at any given time during these leaks? Could someone please tell me this, because every time something leaks we get people saying "Alpha" or "Beta" or "they fixed shit yo" as if they know this stuff.

Well, what that does actually mean is whatever button or combination triggers the transformation doesn't need to you be on the ground like in the first Mad Gear Zone Act 3 leak, which (unintentionally) made it look like Sonic just spontaneously transformed on the ground upon picking up his 50th ring.

Why not? They can make it as long as they want, as long as they keep churning out episodes rather than titling the new set of levels "Sonic 5."

 

What makes you say that? It's most likely the same version being played.

 

Sonic still sits in the middle of the flippers (instead of being on them) in Casino Street Zone, so, basicly it wouldn't surprise me if its the very same build, but it just looks different because the guy who plays it is kinda better!
Anyway, it looks pretty final to me, theoreticly, they could've released it after the leaks, and just give us a patch that would fix minor problems ... theoreticly, practicly, probably not! ^^´

 

Sega really should create extra content for this game. I mean, we know already the entire game on video.

 

Actually, I think the appearance of sitting on the middle of the flippers is partly a problem of his odd proportions when curled into a ball... frankly I think they should just use his "fast roll" animation for this kind of thing...

Correction: We know at least one route through any given level. Levels have multiple routes, remember. Although we've seen quite a lot of Splash Hill Act 1 thanks to this latest leak's multiple runs through that Act...

My point is, the game already comes equipped with that "extra content," so it's not really an issue.

 

Yeah, you're right. Although I'm wondering if the multiple paths in this game aren't known already with so many leaks out there.

Disregard what I said. It was probably due to the player, plus infinity told me that there has been no changes to the current build.

Although the Mad Gear Act 2 video on YouTube has been removed by SEGA, so that's out whether you have the link or not.

It's not HD, it's just capture quality rather than the product of poor camcorder work.
