I am not sure if anyone posted it but this new trailer actually looks... fun!

Yeah, we've seen it. And it does look pretty fun. Odd that it was posted yesterday, though.

3. Yeah, trailer makes the game look pretty solid.

Even if you hate the game, it must be admitted that Lost Labryinth is a beautiful looking stage. Dimps should be commended on that.

OK, my attempt at steering the topic in a new direction.

I couldn't help thinking today that the music for Lost Labyrinth (for Act 1 at least) would mesh well with "Trespasser" which is Lost Colony from Sonic adventure 2. It's creepy how the two fit the EXACT same pattern and even complement each other quite well when played simultaneously. I had to slow down Lost Labyrinth to sync them up correctly and it worked out pretty well. But if you really think about it, I'm sure Jun took the name of the zone to heart and literally looked to the SA2 track for auto-inspiration. I hope you enjoy the video along with the music because I spent 75% and trying to make it look pretty-ish.

On a completely different note, this is amazing:

That was the first SA2 similarity I noticed when the soundtrack was leaked, but I didn't know it was so extreme that the tracks synched so well. Awesome. How about MGZ2 and Canons Core? I think it's Canons Core atleast. Parts of those tracks are identical.

Yeah I saw that Lost Labyrinth trailer popping up at PAX 2010 beginning, namely about two weeks ago.
Lost Labyrinth looks like an awesome tribute to S1 Labyrinth zone, I really cant wait to get the game.

J.League PK Party, a "penalty kick" minigame.
Yes it looks like a tribute, there even is the path where you can jump to the left while sliding on the water toboggan. We will see if there's also a button in this path to destroy the toboggan. :p

I just put a couple clips together. But, since "you know what zone's" music hasn't been publicly released yet, I can't put them here for fear of stuff and out of respect :/ What I can tell you is that I used "Cooperation" and "Deep Inside Of" from Cannon's Core to make such clips.

"You know what zone" was named a long time ago in magazines. I understand you not uploading the music yet though.

Yep, the trailer is rather decent.

These official trailers just have the most stupidly unfitting music ever.

I've just watched a really good video of CSZ1. The level design is quite good and it seems genuinely fun to play, but I think the air inertia is going to be more noticeable here than anywhere else. It stops the bumpers and flippers from knocking Sonic about properly since you can stop the horizontal movement whenever. And the air dash makes things worse since you can always use it so long as you're not on the ground. Really it and the homing attack should only be usable from ball-form, either by jumping or rolling off of a ramp.

On my butt in front of the computer. Where else?
I'm working on working up the willpower to work on learning how to make my own Sonic fangames. Not quite there yet.

I like how the sound that plays at the end when the "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4: EPISODE I" logo appears is like the result of the THX intro having sex with a Hallelujah chorus.

I thought that the theme was fitting but I don't get why they keep doing those stupid watch Sonic kill random badniks with a bizarrely short jump height intros.

From what I saw, it looked incomplete. I'm sure they won't have those physics in the final build, it just seems pointless to me. They've already built upon the leak for months now, at least six months or more. I'm guessing that when the game's out, all those pinball physics will be a lot better, and work the way we should expect them too. Based on the old leak, that level looks pretty bad, JUST for those physics. It looked like Sonic Spinball on the Game Gear.

18. I'm glad to see he's using his spinning feet animation in the LLZ trailer earlier than he did in the old trailers, and it looks like there's a slightly faster animation for when he's balancing on the boulder things.

I did notice that he seemed to lose all forward momentum when hitting the spring at about 0:27. That seems new.

You know, seeing that video kind of reminded me how much I'm excited for the game. I mean, people keep making comparisons to things like sonic rush but I really just don't see it. It looks really good there. Physics have issues with steep slopes but they still work well in other places. For example, trying to walk on a slanted ground is still hard to do when trying to walk up it, but fast if you go down it. Rolling is still faster than rush and spindashing is actually useful. Watching this reminded me of that as well:
